Today, the 21-year-old driver makes her debut behind the wheel of a NASCAR ride
Earlier this month, it was announced that Logan Misuraca is set to make her NASCAR debut in 2021.
Today, she’s getting her first taste of the truck. Misuraca is currently running a test session at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Florida. Homestead-Miami Speedway is the home track for the Florida race driver.
She stated via Instagram, “Out here at Homestead-Miami getting some RC laps in today!”
Misuraca is a NASCAR Roots driver. She’s previously piloted Legends cars and asphalt late models. Additionally, she made some dirt track starts with a midget machine.
“Being a girl on the racetrack definitely forces you to have an edge,” Logan Misuraca previously told Lake Mary Life.
“Girls face different kinds of challenges. I remember once when I started to race competitively, a male driver did not want to be beaten by a girl, so he slammed my car into a wall.”
“It was hard at first, but I’ve learned to become a more defensive driver. Now I recover quickly from tough situations. I love to just smile at my competitors and say, ‘Let’s settle this on the racetrack.’ “
“Racing is definitely in my blood – we’re all hardcore adrenaline junkies.”
“What I love is that racing is actually a very family-oriented sport. My dad is my coach. He’s also amazing at building cars and helps me with that aspect, as well. He’s the one who has really pushed me to always do better.”
In 2021, she’ll be piloting a Lira Motorsports car in the ARCA Menards Series. Additionally, she run part-time in the NASCAR Truck Series, for the same operation.
Misuraca has sponsorship backing from Drink Fortress.
