The 30 year old picked up three late model wins this season. None bigger than October 3, when Thornton Jr grabbed a $20,000 check in the Pittsburgher 100 at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway.

For 2021, Ricky Thornton Jr is setting sights on the national tour.

The team stated, “It’s official! We are going Lucas Oil Late Model racing full time this season thanks to Todd and Vickie Burns with SSI Motorsports. Ricky will be competing for the 2021 Rookie of the Year title in addition to the championship. We will race the modified when the schedule allows.”
