Cody Mallory takes over crew chief role with Bobby Pierce

Previously, Bob Pierce has served as the crew chief for his son’s racing program

Bobby Pierce is a 24 year old dirt late model driver. He co-owns his own dirt late model operation with his family out of Oakwood, Illinois.

Pierce won 8 dirt late model events in 2020. He also piloted a dirt modified where he grabbed two more wins.

Cody Mallory is the former crew chief for the famed Tennessee driver, Scott Bloomquist. While Scott was out of the car due to a leg injury, Mallory worked with multiple drivers of Bloomquist Race Cars.

For 2020, Mallory made more concrete move to Ramirez Motorsports, serving as the crew chief for national dirt late model driver Jimmy Owens. Along the way, Owens claimed 20 feature race wins by season’s end.

Owens captured the 2020 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series championship. At the same time, Mallory captured crew chief of the year.

In 2018, Bobby Pierce ran full time with Dunn-Benson Motorsports on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. For 2019 and 2020, Pierce returned to his family owned operation, running a pick and choose schedule with no national series attached.

In 2021, Bobby Pierce has selected Cody Mallory to serve as crew chief of his No. 32 machine. Bob Pierce, Bobby’s father has been the crew chief for every dirt car that his son has ever driven.

“We at BPR would like to welcome Cody Mallory to our team! We feel he will be a tremendous asset to our team. Super pumped for the Wild West Shootout,” the team stated via social media.

As for a schedule, the 2021 plans remain unknown. However, their schedule will open with the Wild West Shootout on January 9-17.
