Next up, the NASCAR Truck Series takes to the 2.5-mile oval of Daytona International Speedway. This is the first on-track session for the NASCAR Truck Series in 2021.

This is the first and final Truck practice session at Daytona. Tomorrow, the field will return for qualifying and their first race of the new season.

Sheldon Creed is the defending truck champion. He’s ready for 2021 as he’s the first truck to the track.
40 minutes remain, a long line of Toyota trucks have gathered on the track. With nine trucks in a single file line, they’re set to go to the top of the board but their run is brought to a halt due to a caution.
Jordan Anderson’s truck has come to a stop at the end of the pit lane and he’s unable to refire. At the same time, Stewart Friesen feels he’s down a cylinder.
30 minutes remain, Clay Greenfield is stalled and the red flag is out. The tow truck enters the track to give him a push.

Chandler Smith wins NASCAR truck series practice at Daytona! He turned a time of 47.458 to sit at the top of the times sheet.
45 trucks are lined up for Daytona practice. Only 36 drivers will start the race.
