ARCA race results from Daytona International Speedway
Today, the ARCA Menards Series is set to take the green flag on their 2021 racing season. The 2.5-mile oval of Daytona International Speedway is set for the Lucas Oil 200.

A rain shower rolled into the area this morning. The track has been washed clean but the surface is now dry and we’re ready to go ARCA racing.
Andrew Jankowiak has his life saving running in this race. The pizza delivery driver has rented a race car instead of putting a down payment on a home.
Drew Dollar and Gracie Trotter line up on the front row. 80 laps of stock car racing are up next…

Race Report
Green flag, Dollar gets the jump on the inside. The front five work single file before turn one.
Lap 11, Thad Moffitt is around into turn one. He slides through the infield and the caution is out. Moffitt tried to take it three wide between Dave Mader II and Rich Bickle but the hole closed.
Green, Dollar and Trotter run even into turn one. They remain side by side as they get back to the line.
Lap 19, Derek Griffith is all over the bumper of Trotter on the outside. Trotter is clear of Dollar. She drops to the inside lane and takes the race lead.
Griffith sticks with the outside as he gets a push to the front. Griffith leads.
Lap 28, Gracie Trotter gets into the back of Derek Griffith. The bump draft has gone wrong at the front of the field! Griffith is turned sideways, he bounces off the apron and it sideways in front of the field. Drew Dollar, Greg Van Alst, Nick Sanchez and multiple others are collected. The caution is out.
Derrick Lancaster has been handed the race lead. He leads the field to the pit lane. Tanner Gray takes over the race lead after the pit. Lancaster restarts 7th as Gray and others stayed out.
Green, Gray leads on the outside lane.
Lap 40, the top five run single file around the bottom.
Competition caution
Lap 44, the competition caution is out. The leaders hit the pit lane. Gray will restart 17th as 16 cars stayed out. Corey Heim and Ty Gibbs set the front row for the restart.
Green, Heim gets the jump on the inside with a huge push from Dollar and Holmes.
21 to go, Chuck Hiers has lost a tire. He pushes up the banking and Gracie Trotter has no where to go as she runs right into the back of him, no caution.
13 to go, the top five have broken away and run single file. Corey Heim leads Drew Dollar, Bret Holmes, Derrick Lancaster and Ty Gibbs.
6 to go, the leaders remain single file. This lead group is six seconds head of 6th place running Andrew Jankowiak.
5 to go, Scott Reeves had tagged the wall after a blown tire. The caution is out as he slides through the infield grass.
ARCA Overtime finish
Green, Heim gets the jump and he drops down in front of Dollar to lead the inside lane into turn one. That was a planned effort by the teammates.
Heim leads Dollar by 3 car lengths into turn three.
