Daytona Road Race
Stage 1 – Report
Laps: 16 (1-16 / 70)
Green flag, Chase Elliott is clear into turn one. Michael McDowell runs wide and falls deep into the field. Kyle Busch has caught right front damage after running off track in turn two.
Lap 2, caution for debris as McDowell has lost a tire.
Green, Elliott is clear into turn one as Austin Dillon takes 2nd away.
Chase Briscoe runs out of room in turn 13. He jumps over the turtle curbing to avoid Bubba Wallace and spins, no caution.
Lap 10, Elliott leads Hamlin by 4.5 seconds.
Erik Jones has lost a left rear tire, no caution.
Lap 12, Brad Keselowski locks up the wheels into turn 13. He heads right for the pit lane with a flat tire.
5 to go in stage one, the caution is out for debris. Matt DiBenedetto has lost the entire left rear quarter panel.
The leaders hit the pit lane. Christopher Bell stayed out.
Pit Penalty: Byron and Reddick have been handed pit penalties.
Green, Bell leads into turn one but Elliott has a run on him into turn two. They run side by side and Elliott returns to the lead. Bell runs Keselowski off the track behind him.

Stage 2 – Report
Laps: 18 (17-34 / 70)
Green flag on stage two, Elliott and Logano run even into turn one but Elliott gets the drive off and clears him to hold the lead off the corner. Larson takes them three wide back in the pack with new tires.
Lap 27, Ross Chastain has found the wall out of turn six and the caution is out.
The leaders hit the pit lane. 5 cars stay out as Hamlin wins the race to the pit exit. Allmendinger and Larson lead them to the restart line.
Green flag, Allmendinger leads into turn one as Harvick takes 2nd away.
4 to go in stage two, Hamlin is all over Allmendinger for the lead. He looks to the outside in turn three and Hamlin has the inside into turn four where he completes the pass.

Laps: 31 (35-70 / 70)
Hamlin leads then to the pit lane. Kurt Busch wins the race to the pit exit. Suarez and DiBenedetto stay out.
Green flag on stage three, Suarez gets the jump as DiBenedetto spins the tires. Kurt Busch looks to the inside of Suarez and clears him with ease, Busch to the lead.
Lap 38, Kurt Busch runs off track after clipping the curb! He plows the grass, spins and hands the lead over to Christopher Bell, no caution.
Lap 40, Chase Elliott has caught the bumper of Bell in the battle for the lead. Bell moves over into turn one and Elliott drives right to the lead.
18 to go, the green flag pit cycle is complete. Elliott continues to lead Bell by 2 seconds.
16 to go, rain is in the area. The race remains green as half of the track is seeing sprinkles.
Rain
15 to go, the caution is out for rain!
The leaders hit the pit lane. Bell wins the race to the pit exit as Elliott is off 4th! Everyone took slick tires. Several cars stay out, Logano and Briscoe lead them to the restart.
Green, Logano leads as Busch and Briscoe run side by side for 2nd. Elliott runs off track in turn two and he loses several positions.
The caution is back out for a stalled car.
Green, Logano leads Busch into turn one. Truex spins behind them, no caution.
10 to go
10 to go, caution.
Green, Logano leads Busch. Larson takes over 3rd, the first car with four tires.
8 to go, Kyle Larson wheels hops into turn six! He slams the tire barrier, no caution.
6 to go, Chase Elliott tries to cross under Keselowski in turn six. Hamlin’s nose is already there and Elliott is turned while racing for 4th, no caution.
5 to go, Logano leads Bell by 3 seconds.
2 to go, Bell has climbed to the bumper of Logano! Logano throws a block in turn four of the NASCAR oval. Bell looks to the inside in the turn 13 chicane and he clears him, Bell leads.
Christopher Bell wins on the Daytona Road Course! This is his first career NASCAR Cup Series win.
