NASCAR penalty report from Las Vegas Motor Speedway; Over $75,000 in fines handed out

Over the weekend, Las Vegas Motor Speedway hosted a triple -header race weekend. The NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Truck Series all took the green on the 1.5-mile oval.

The NASCAR Truck Series race brought a stir as Kyle Busch appeared to spin on purpose while coasting on the apron with a flat tire. The caution saved his race as he only went 1 lap down to the leader.

A crash happened just a few laps later. That caution put Busch back on the lead lap. He drove through the field to finish 2nd.

NASCAR stated during the week that they would be reviewing the incident for possible violations of the rule book. Previous violations have brought big penalties and fines. Examples are the $50,000 fine handed out to Bubba Wallace in 2019 and the $10,000 fine handed to Dale Earnhardt Jr in 2004.

However, in this case, it appears Kyle Busch will not be penalized.
