Brad Keselowski racing dirt late model this Friday

NASCAR driver Brad Keselowski is ready to play in the dirt

This Friday, Cochran Motor Speedway is hosting the Gobblet 100 makeup race. Brad Keselowski will entered the event in the #2K dirt late model.

This event is the season opener for Cochran Motor Speedway.

The Super Late Model race pays $20,000 to win. However, Keselowski will be running in the crate late model division. Crate Late Models are racing for $3,000 to win.

The original race date for the Gobbler 100 was rained out in fall 2020.

“The name you see on there is right…Looking forward to getting on track at Cohran Motor Speedway Friday night. A little time on the dirt sounds like a good idea to this guy,” Brad Keselowski tweeted with images of the car.

Cochran Motor Speedway is a 3/8-mile dirt track. The facility is located in Cochran, Georgia.

The NASCAR Cup Series is set to race their first dirt event since 1970. That race is scheduled for March 28th at the Bristol Dirt Track. Ahead of that event, many Cup regulars are running on dirt tracks across the country.

Bristol Dirt Nationals?

On March 13-14th, the Bristol Dirt Nationals will host their practice sessions ahead of the week-long show.

Cochran has another race scheduled for March 13th. Keselowski is not scheduled to ran that event. If you connect some dots, it would appear Keselowski might head north for Bristol practice or go to Phoenix for the NASCAR event.

Yet, it remains unconfirmed if Keselowski will run in the upcoming Bristol Dirt Nationals. The track released a photo graphic last week stating Keselowski was on the entry list. However, that photo was removed after 5 minutes.

Multiple NASCAR drivers are entered for the Bristol Dirt Nationals: Kyle Larson, Corey LaJoie, Joey Logano, Austin Dillon.
