Late in the race as Gragson entered pit lane, Daniel Hemric was in his box waiting for him, according to Gragson. As he moves, Gragson pulled into his box. As he completed his stop then backed into the box of Daniel Hemric.

After the race, Hemric came over to discuss the incident with Noah Gragson as Gragson was being interviewed. Gragson immediately threw a punch with Hemric dodged.

Hemric then threw a punch of his own, landing on the left side of Gragson’s face.

The JR Motorsports team then grabbed Hemric. As Hemric was in a head lock, Gragson reached around and landed one of his punches.

A NASCAR official then pulled Gragson away from Hemric.

Noah Gragson comments

“I don’t know why he’s mad,” Noah Gragson told Fox Sports after the fight.

“We were behind him coming on to pit road because we corded our right front tire. He was in our pit box and I had to come around him.”

“I’m not really sure why he was there. I had to back up and get there.”

“A lot of fun. I want to thank all the fans for coming out. I’d be mad if I was in his shoes too, just based off what he’s done in his career.”

“It is what it is. We’ll move on and keep on fighting,” Gragson concluded.

Daniel Hemric comments

“He and I both had struggled. He had his issues, got crashed early. We just struggled with speed,” Daniel Hemric opened after the fight.

“We were working on it constantly to get me closer to where I needed to be. I came to pit there on that caution. When I pulled into my box, we had a guy that went to leave at the same time, in the box behind us. I forced me to go long and pull in the No. 9 box and backup.”

“I guess he was oblivious to what was going on or what my situation was. By the time the No. 9 got in his box, he crammed it in reverse and purposefully drove the back of his car into the front of my Supra.”

“He punched a hole in our Supra. Where I come from you get punched in the eye for that. And that’s what happened.”

Hemric added that the feud was concluded.

“There’s a hole in my Supra. And he got punched in the eye. Where I stand from, we’re in pretty good shape.
