NASCAR dirt track entry lists welcome new faces in Cup Series and Truck Series
For the first time since 1970, the NASCAR Cup Series is set to play in the dirt. Bristol Motor Speedway has been converted to a half-mile dirt track and the Tennessee track welcomes the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Truck Series.

The action begins on Friday with practice and heat races. Saturday, March 27th, the NASCAR Truck Series takes to the track for the Pinty’s Truck Race on Dirt. Sunday, March 28th, the NASCAR Cup Series takes the green in the Food City Dirt Race.
Three days of on track action are on deck. That’s different from most of the races in 2021, which are usually single-day shows.

The starting lineup will be set by qualifying heat races. Additionally, qualifying heat races will see drivers collect passing points to determine starting positions in the feature race.
Heat race lineups will be set via a random draw on Friday.

Lots of new faces
This entry list for this weekend is far different than the norm. That included both field.
Truck Race: Saturday’s NASCAR Truck race will see seven NASCAR Cup Seroes drivers attempt to make the field. Those included: Chase Briscoe, Bubba Wallace, Kevin Harvick, Ryan Newman, Kyle Larson, Martin Truex Jr and Daniel Suarez.
Suarez is a surprise addition to the truck event. He’s the only driver that hadn’t previously announced his entry in the dirt race.
Jessica Friesen is set to make her NASCAR Truck Series debut. Additionally, Mike Marlar, another dirt racing star will make his return to the series.
35 drivers will qualify for the race through heat races. 5 more will be handed provisionals of 2021 Truck owner points. 4 trucks will be sent home before the feature.
Cup Race: Stewart Friesen is set to make his Cup Series debut after multiple seasons with the NASCAR Truck Series. Friesen has loads of dirt racing experience in an open wheel modified and dirt late model.
USAC champion Chris Windom, Sprint car driver Shane Golobic and dirt late model star Mike Marlar are all set for NASCAR Cup Series competition.
