NASCAR crew members shove after Bristol dirt crash (Video)

“Don’t you ever f****** stare at me like that.”

On Monday, the NASCAR Truck Series unloaded at the Bristol Dirt Track in Tennessee. It was the first NASCAR race on the newly reconfigured Bristol Motor Speedway dirt track. The highly anticipated event brought a new audience to the NASCAR event.

Watch the video of the NASCAR crew altercation below.

The truck series was originally scheduled to race on Saturday night. However, rain pushed the event to a Monday afternoon.

Nemechek finished 5th in stage one. He remained toward the front in stage two.

However, on lap 9 of 50 in stage two, Nemechek was sent for a ride off the front bumper of Matt Crafton. Nemechek backed it up the banking and he came to a stop just short of the wall.

As Nemechek sat there, 19 trucks went by without an issue. However, well after Nemechek came to a stop Derek Kraus slid into the scene and ran into Nemechek’s parked truck.

The damage caused fluid to drip from Nemechek’s No. 4 machine. He was done for the day.

Nemechek climbed from his wrecked truck. As Crafton drove by, Nemechek clapped both hands in the direction of the No. 88 machoine, giving him a round of applause.

No. 88 crew chief Carl “Junior” Joiner stated over the team radio after the crash, ““Better keep the crew chief of fucking Nemechek under fucking order before I punch him in his fucking throat. Don’t you ever fucking stare at me like that.”

Nemechek had a radio clip of his own before he climbed from the truck. “If he’s listening to this, you can kiss my rosey ass. He can stick it where the sun don’t shine.”

The crew chiefs usually sit atop pit boxes at these races. However, there were no pit crews at the Bristol dirt race. Instead, crew chiefs sat on top of the haulers. It led to an angry starring competition.

John Hunter Nemechek comments on the crash

After exiting the infield care center, John Hunter Nemechek commented on the crash.

“I don’t know. Matt (Crafton) just flat out ran over me,” John Hunter Nemechek told FS1.

“That one will be in the memory bank. We were fine. Didn’t hit anything and then there toward the end of that whole deal, the 19 (Kraus) … I guess he and his spotter both need a pair of glasses. I’ll have those for him at Richmond (Raceway).”

Crews tussle

Crafton’s No. 88 crew boldly walked over to the No. 4 hauler of Nemechek after the crash.

One of Crafton’s crew members pushed a crew member of Nemechek’s. He then put his hands in the air and waited for a fight to begin.

Crafton’s crew member attempted to encourage the fight saying, “Come on mother fucker. Come on bitch.”

Nemechek’s crew member then walked away.
