Weather has been in the area all day. We’re now set for the green flag, about hour later than expected.
Daniel Suarez will drop to the rear for the start. The no. 99 team had illegally placed ballast on the car.

Stage 1 – Report
Laps: 130 (1-130 / 500)
Green flag, Joey Logano leads on the inside into turn one. Denny Hamlin tucks onto his rear bumper off turn two.
Lap 4, Logano gets loose and Hamlin works inside to take the race lead.
Lap 25, William Byron runs 2nd. As he struggles with lap traffic, Logano gets into his bumper and takes the spot away. Logano back to 2nd.
Lap 37, James Davison gets turned by Cody Ware. As he finds the wall, the caution is out.
The field hits the pit lane, Hamlin wins the race to the pit exit. The rain begins to fall and the red flag is back out.
A day later…
We’re back here on a Sunday afternoon and the race is set to resume.
Green flag, Hamlin leads Blaney into turn one.
Lap 50, Kurt Busch spins from 18th with help from Erik Jones. The caution is out.
Green, Hamlin leads Blaney.
Lap 75, Blaney is on the bumper of Hamlin and looking for the lead. He peaks to the inside and outbrakes him to take the race lead.

Stage 2 – Report

Green flag on stage two, Hamlin takes the lead from Ryan Blaney via the outside lane.
Lap 170, Ryan Preece is slow with an alternator issue, no caution.
Lap 175, Ryan Blaney is back on the bumper of Hamlin for the lead. He looks inside, clear.
Lap 241, Cody Ware blows a tire and collects the wall, caution.
Blaney is first in and first off on the pit lane.
Pit Penalty: Joey Logano will go to the rear for speeding.
Green, Blaney leads Hamlin.
Lap 251, Newman and DiBenedetto make contact. Debris on the track, caution.
Green, Blaney leads as Hamlin spins the tires. Martin Truex Jr takes 2nd away.
Final laps in stage two, Hamlin is on the bumper of Blaney for the stage win. But, he’s out of time.

Most the leaders pit but 11 cars stay out, including Hamlin. Blaney restarts 12th.
Green flag on stage three, Hamlin leads Keselowski into turn one.
Lap 277, Justin Haley spins with a flat tire, caution.
Green, Hamlin leads Keselowski.
Lap 289, Cody Ware spins, caution.
Hamlin leads most the leaders to the pit lane. Six cars stay out.
Green, Bubba Wallace leads Newman into turn one.
Lap 310, William Byron is flying through the field. He’s climbed to 2nd, the first car with fresher tires.
Lap 315, Byron to the race lead.
Lap 321, Kyle Busch is around with a mechanical issue, caution. However, the team can’t find the issue.
Pit stops
The leaders return to the pit lane. Byron is first in, Hamlin wins the race to the pit exit.
Green, Hamlin leads Byron into turn one.
Lap 340, Daniel Suarez spins Brad Keselowski, caution. Suarez got loose underneath him.
Green, Hamlin leads as Bowman and Byron run side by side for 2nd.
Lap 349, Ryan Newman spins with some help from Bubba Wallace, caution.
Green, Hamlin leads Bowman.
Lap 368, Bowman has a loose wheel, he pits under green. Joey Logano takes over 2nd.
Lap 371, Erik Jones spins and the caution is back out.
Hamlin leads them to the pit entry and pit exit. Ross Chastain, Christopher Bell and Suarez stay out.
Green, Bell leads as Hamlin runs three wide in the middle to take 2nd away from the guys on older tires.
Red Flag
Lap 385, Chris Buescher pinches Kyle Busch off turn two and they both spin. Multiple cars are collected! #18, #17, #43, #21, #48, #37, #99, #2, #77, #38, #41, #15, #34 and #1 are all involved. The track is blocked and the red flag is out.
Green, Hamlin and Blaney run side by side into turn one. Hamlin clears him off turn two. Blaney throws a block on Logano to hold 2nd into turn three.
86 to go, Chase Elliott works to the outside of Logano and takes 4th away.
67 to go, Blaney has closed to within a car length of Hamlin.
50 to go, Blaney leans on the rear bumper of Hamlin but he can’t get by.
49 to go, Chase Briscoe spins, caution.
Hamlin leads the field to the pit lane. Martin Truex Jr wins the race to the put exit.
Pit Penalty: Ryan Blaney to the rear.
Green, Truex Jr and Hamlin run side by side into turn one. Hamlin hangs onto his right rear off turn two. Hamlin drives it deep on the outside in turn three, Hamlin leads back at the line.
25 to go
25 to go, Truex Jr looks to the inside of Hamlin but he clips the curb and Hamlin holds him off.
24 to go, Truex jr looks inside again, Hamlin pinches him and holds the spot.
20 to go, Truex Jr beats on the bumper of Hamlin but he can’t get by.
18 to go, Truex Jr looks inside. They run side by side, Truex Jr runs him wide and Truex Jr finally takes the race lead.
5 to go, Truex Jr leads Chase Elliott by 10 car lengths.
