Tonight, the NASCAR Xfinity Series unloads in Martinsville, Virginia. The half-mile paperclip oval of Martinsville Speedway is set to host the Cook Out 250.

Harrison Burton and Justin Allgaier lead them to the starting line. 250 laps of short track racing are up next…

Martinsville Race
Stage 1 – Report

Laps: 60 (1-60 / 250)

Green flag, Burton gets the jump but Allgaier drives it deep into turn one on the outside to hang with him. Burton clear him into turn three as Allmendinger takes 2nd away.

Lap 5, Jade Buford is around after wheel hopping into turn one and the caution is out.

Green, Burton leads off turn two as Allgaier and Allmendinger run side by side for 2nd. Allmendinger pushes off turn four and Allgaier takes the spot.

Trouble for Allgaier, he’s dropping through the field with a broken front suspension. He pits under green and comes out two laps down.

Lap 25, the competition caution is out.

Green, Burton leads off turn two. Cindric and Gragson run side by side for 2nd, Gragson lifts and gives him the spot.

Lap 38, Gragson has a run on Cindric off turn two. He dives to the inside in turn three, clear. Gragson to 2nd. Burton leads by 1.5 seconds.

Lap 45

Lap 45, spin in turn four, caution.

Penalty: Jeb Burton and David Starr have been sent to the tail for hanging back on before the choose cone.

Green, Burton leads as Gragson holds 2nd.

Lap 49, Michael Annett wheel hops into turn one. The back end comes around, caution.

Burton heads for the pit lane with Hemric, Allgaier and others. Gragson stays out.

Green, Gragson leads Cindric off turn two. Cindric has a look on the inside in turn three, Gragson blocks.

2 to go in stage one, Alex Labbe turns Riley Herbst as they ran three wide into the corner.

This stage ends under caution, Noah Gragson wins stage 1 at Martinsville Speedway.

Stage 2 – Report

Laps: 60 (61-120 / 250)

Gragson leads the leaders to the pit lane but Cindric wins the race to the pit exit. 20 drivers pitted 9 laps ago, most of them will stay out. Moffitt and Allgaier line up on row one.

Green flag on stage two, Brett Moffitt takes the lead on the inside, Brandon Jones follows him through to take 2nd.

Lap 71, Brandon Jones to the race lead! Josh Berry to 2nd. Moffitt has older tires than both.

Lap 78, Josh Berry looks to the inside of Jones in turn three. With ease, Berry takes the lead.

Lap 83, Gragson beats on the bumper of Burton and pushes him up a lane. Gragson fills the inside lane but Burton pinches him down into turn three and slams the door shut.

Lap 88, Jones works inside of Berry in the race for the lead.

Lap 89, the caution is out for rain. As it falls harder, the cars pull to the pit lane and the red flag is out.

Two days later…

We’re back here on a Sunday afternoon and the race is set to resume.

Green flag, Jones and Hemric run side by side into turn one. Hemric wins the battle on the outside off turn two.

Lap 105, Josh Williams cuts a tire and spins, the caution is out.

Most of the field hits the pit lane. 16 cars stay out, including Hemric.

Green, Hemric leads Gragson.

Stage 3 – Report

Laps: 180 (121-250 / 250)

The leaders hit the pit lane as many stay out. Tommy Joe Martins and Josh Berry lead them to the restart.

Green flag on stage three, Josh Berry wins the race off turn two on the outside lane. Hemric is three wide and flying through the field behind them.

Lap 140, Colby Howard is turned and the caution is out.

Green, Berry leads Haley off turn two.

Lap 152, Brandon Gdovic is around, caution.

Green, Berry leads Cindric off turn two.

75 to go, Blaine Perkins and Joe Graf Jr fight for space into turn three. Behind them, Gray Gaulding locks onto the bumper of Graf Jr and shoves him into the corner. Graf Jr spins and collects Perkins, caution.

The leaders head for the pits. Berry wins the race to the pit exit but he’ll restart 7th. Currey and Parsons lead them to the restart.

Green, Currey leads as Josh Berry runs three wide into turn one behind him.

65 to go

65 to go, Berry is on the bumper of Currey for the race lead. He shoves him up the track off turn four, Berry leads back into turn one.

57 to go, Ty Gibbs has a run on Josh Berry into turn one. He has a look and Berry is forced to give him the lane, Ty Gibbs leads.

46 to go, Alex Labbe is around, caution.

Green, Gibbs leads on the inside lane. Berry beats on his bumper but Gibbs holds him off.

29 to go, Berry rams the bumper of Gibbs in the center of 3 and four. He’s shoved up the track and Berry returns to the lead. Gibbs tries to get to his bumper in turn one but he misses.

15 to go, Daniel Hemric is flying through the field. He’s up to 3rd.

10 to go, Josh Berry leads by 10 car lengths as he works lap traffic. Hemric is all over the rear bumper of Gragson for 2nd.
