Noah Gragson details unique plans for the $100,000 bonus

NASCAR driver Noah Gragson won the $100,000 bonus after Martinsville Speedway

On Sunday, the NASCAR Xfinity Series took the flag at Martinsville Speedway. The half-mile oval concluded with a first time winner and even a fight.

The race was also a Dash 4 Cash race. Four drivers were eligible to collected the $100,000 bonus. The highest finisher of those four drivers took that check

Josh Berry took the race win. It’s the first win of his brief NASCAR Xfinity Series career.

“He’s a short track legend. It’s really meaningful just to say that I was racing on the same track as him. If there’s one guy I want to run 2nd to, it’s him. He’s the short track king,” Gragson said of Josh Berry taking the race win.

22-year-old, Gragson finished 2nd as he found himself playing defense in the closing laps, unable to run down Berry. Yet he was the highest finisher of those four Dash 4 Chas driver. He’s been handed the $100,000 check as a result.

“I actually forgot about it,” Gragson said.

He added, I was walking over to congratulate Josh and somebody said, ‘You won the $100,000.’ I was so focused on winning the race. I want to win and work hard to win.”

Noah Gragson explains his plan for the $100,000

“I’ll probably give it to the team,” Noah Gragson said after the race.

“I get a percentage of it. But, that percentage will go the #9 guys, our pit crew. With Covid and stuff, it’s challenging on everyone’s family right now.”

“That’s the least I can do, is pay them back. They work their tails off to get us to this position. It’s not me winning $100,000, it’s our team.”
