Tonight, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series has unloaded in Union, Kentucky. The half-mile dirt track of Florence Speedway is set for the 35th Annual Ralph Latham Memorial paying $15,000 to win.

Race Report
Green flag, Davenport gets the jump. He drives it deep to the bottom in turn one. Moran knocks a rut on the outside. Davenport runs way wide in turn two and throws sparks as he brushes the right rear on the outside wall.
Moran, Richards and Scott run three wide off turn two. Richards holds the spot.
Stormy Scott takes 2nd away.
Lap 6, Lanigan slows, caution.
Green, Davenport leads into turn one. Richards drives it far to the bottom on corner entry and loses all momentum in the process, they split him on both sides off turn two. Scott to 2nd. Hudson O’Neal 3rd.
Lap 8, Stormy Scott is all over Davenport for the lead. Davenport runs the bottom as Scott runs right against the outside wall.
Lap 12
Lap 12, Ricky Thornton Jr, Jimmy Owens and Mike Marlar tangle in turn one, caution.
Green, Davenport leads. Hudson O’Neal is all over his bumper off turn two.
Back in turn one, O’Neal looks to the inside for a slider but Davenport shuts the door. O’Neal turns right and heads for the top instead. He loses 5 car lengths.
Lap 15, O’Neal is back on the bumper of Davenport. The high side is preferred by 2nd-5th. Davenport remains on the bottom, unaware of the speed up top.
Lap 18, O’Neal looks to the inside in turn three. He pulls even but can’t complete the pass.
Davenport heads for the bottom in turn one. O’Neal is on the gas around the cushion. He gets to his right rear and clears him down the back, Hudson O’Neal leads.
Lap 25, Josh Richards and Tyler Erb trade slider after slider in the battle for 5th.
Halfway
Lap 30, Josh Rice has closed to within a car length of Hudson O’Neal in the battle for the lead. They both bounce hard on the cushion in turn one.
Lap 32, caution.
Green, Hudson O’Neal leads Rice.
Lap 34, Rice drives it deep to the bottom and slides O’Neal for the lead. He clears him by multiple car lengths but he just about parks it in turn two to avoid the wall. Sparks fly as he bounces the right rear off the wall. O’Neal crosses under him to retake the spot.
Lap after lap, Rice slides him only for O’Neal to cross under him. 4, 5, 6 laps in a row. Lead changes twice per lap, lap after lap.
14 to go
14 to go, Rice is all over his fuel cell, nose to tail around the top. Rice loses the nose in turn two.
He closes right back to his bumper. He slides him again, I’m all crosses under him to retake the spot.
5 to go, O’Neal struggles with lap traffic in turn one! Rice knocks it hard on the cushion, pitches the car and drives down the banking for a late apex in turn two.
Rice pulls even with O’Neal off turn two. Rice has the momentum and he clears him down the back. Josh Rice leads and his hometown fans erupt!
Hudson O’Neal tries to throw a slide job back in turn one. He pulls even but can’t clear him. Rice opens the gap.
