Stage 1 – Report

Laps: 30 (1-30 / 134)

Green flag, Busch and Nemechek run side by side into turn one. They remain side by side off turn two. Busch gets loose on the inside into turn three, Nemechek powers to the lead on the outside as Busch falls to 3rd. Sheldon Creed takes over 2nd.

Penalty: Spencer Boyd is serving a pass through penalty.

Lap 13, Nemechek has moved to the top lane. He runs too high, gets in the marbles and lightly brushes the wall. Sheldon Creed drives by on the inside to take the lead.

6 to go in stage one, Nemechek throws a slider on Creed but he can’t clear him. Busch takes 2nd as Nemechek gathers it up.

4 to go in stage one, Busch looks to the inside of Creed into turn one. They remain side by side and Busch clears him into turn three.

Stage 2 – Report

Laps: 30 (31-60 / 134)

Green flag on stage two, Busch and Creed run even into turn one and remain even off turn two. Side by side into turn three, Creed noses ahead on the outside lane and returns to the lead.

Kyle Busch drives away as they race for 2nd.

Kyle Busch leads the field to the pit entry but Nemechek wins the race to the pit exit.

Green flag on stage three, Nemechek and Creed run side by side into turn one and off turn two. Nemechek hangs on his outside into turn three. Kyle Busch runs way wide behind them, he builds momentum and crosses under both of them off turn four. Kyle Busch from 3rd to the race lead.

Lap 70, Carsopn Hocevar is completely sideways! He saves it but the caution is out.

Green, the field splits Kyle Busch and shoves him to the middle. They go by him on both sides! Kyle Busch falls outside the top 10. Zane Smith leads.

Lap 75, Sheldon Creed works to the outside of Smith for the lead. Creed picnhes him down in turn three. A lap later, he finally clears him, Creed leads.

38 to go, Nemechek dives to the inside of Creed. They run side by side. Kyle Busch has a run on both of them, he slides them both in turn one but he can;t hold it off the corner. Creed crosses under Busch to retake the lead.

34 to go

34 to go, Creed pits from the race lead.

Pit Penalty: Tanner Gray is caught speeding, he’ll serve a pass through.

19 to go, Kyle Busch drives by Nemechek in what will be the battle for the win after the pit cycle.

18 to go, Creed brushes the wall in turn one. He’s got a flat and he’s forced to return to the pit lane under green.

16 to go, Sauter finally hits the pit lane. Kyle Busch cycles to the race lead.

7 to go, the caution is out as Jennifer Jo Cobb is stopped at the end of the pit lane.

John Hunter Nemechek hits the pit lane! He’s out of new tires but he’ll put on scuffs.

NASCAR Overtime

Kyle Busch and Ross Chastain line up on the front row.

Green, Ben Rhodes works to the outside of Kyle Busch. Three wide for the lead, Chastain takes the lead on the inside lane as Busch drops through the middle and falls to 5th!

Stewart Friesen gets loose off turn two. He collects Derek Kraus and the caution is back out.

They’ll rack them again and add two laps to the race. It’s NASCAR Overtime attempt number two. Chastain picks the inside lane. Zane Smith lines up on the outside.

Green, Chastain noses ahead on the inside in turn one. Kyle Busch makes it three wide behind them. Four wide further back.

Chastain throws a block on Gilliland off turn two. They both slow.

1 to go, Kyle Busch, Austin Hill and Ross Chastain run three wide for the race win. Kyle Busch clears them all!

Kyle Busch wins at Kansas Speedway! That’s his fifth straight win in the series, tying the record.
