Circuit of the Americas is a 20 turn road course. The track stretches 3.4 miles. 43 drivers are on the entry list and many of those will be sent home early after qualifying.

There’s loads of new faces in the pit area this weekend. Road racers have invaded the entry list for the NASCAR Xfinity Series as the series makes it’s debut on the road course.

Practice Report
Duration: 50 minutes
45 minutes remain, Daniel Hemric has discovered an issue in his first run, no power steering. He pulls it to the garage but the team gets it fixed pretty quick.
40 minutes remain, Austin Cindric leads the session early. Cindric has a lot of road racing experience.
Kris Wright is 17th on the board. However, he’s just gone up in smoke, no caution.
29 minutes remain, Bayley Currey is up in smoke. He comes to a stop and the red flag is out.
NASCAR Practice – Halfway: 1. Cindric; 2. Reddick; 3. Busch; 4. Allmendinger; 5. Labbe;
15 minutes remain, Ryan Sieg’s crew has the hood up in the garage area. The team is at work changing the engine. Sieg has yet to turn a lap.
9 minutes remain, Landon Cassill has spun. He gets it re-fired, no caution.
5 minutes remain, Brandon Brown is stopped on the track. As the same time, Spencer Pumpelly is up in smoke. The red flag is back out.
