An interesting turn of events…
Chris Hacker was going to run a NASCAR Truck with the phrase ‘Sponsor Me’ on the hood, deck and doors.
Last Saturday, Chris Hacker made his ARCA Menards Series debut. He piloted the No. 94 Cram Enterprises Toyota Camry at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
He became the first driver with a Brachial Plexus injury. The injury brings nerve damage and has limited movement in his left arm.
The 21-year-old drove the car to a 10th place run in his Charlotte debut. 23 cars took place in the event.
Later this month, Hacker was scheduled to make his NASCAR Truck Series debut. It was announced he would drive in the Rackley Roofing 200 at Nashville Superspeedway via the No. 41 Chevrolet Silverado for Cram Enterprises.
The truck was set to be unfunded without a sponsor. Additionally, Hacker was going to deplete his personal funds to give NASCAR a shot.
Straight of the movie ‘Talladega Nights’, Hacker intended to have the phrase ‘Sponsor Me’ written on various corners and the hood of the truck.
“As our last shot in finding potential partners, we’re putting ‘Sponsor Me’ on all of the sponsorship locations on the truck, hoping a company would see it on television,” Hacker told Toby Christie. “I know it’s a ‘shoot for the stars’ situation, but it’s our last option at this point.”

Two days later…
On Tuesday, Kimberly Cram stated via twitter that Chris Hacker prematurely announced his Truck Series debut. She noted that was not an official announcement.
Kimberly Cram tweeted, “Cram Racing Enterprises has been made aware that a statement was made prematurely by one of our development drivers. An official announcement from CRE re: the #41 truck at Nashville will be made at the proper time. We apologize for any confusion.”
Cram Enterprises and Chris Hacker part ways
Two days later…
Thursday, Chris Hacker put out a statement of his own. He also explained that he wanted to part ways due to the inability to sort out a deal for future races, beyond Nashville.
“Chris Hacker Motorsports LLC has decided to part ways with the previous team that Chris Hacker was competing for due to the unforeseen circumstances.”
“I greatly appreciate the opportunity that I was given, but sadly we could not come to an agreement regarding future events.” He added, “I wish the best of luck to them and hope that are able to succeed in the future. I apologize for the inconvenience that has been brought to anyone involved. That has been a huge learning experience and on the business side of everything I feel like this is the best outcome for me.”
“Chris Hacker Motorsports LLC is currently reaching out to search for available positions in future NASCAR Camping World Truck Series events for the near future. Future plans will announced at a later date.”
Hacker added via twitter in a response to a tweet from Cram Enterprises, “I would like to make it very clear that the separation was 100% my decision.”
Update: Cram Enterprises
Late Thursday night, Cram Racing Enterprises issues a new statement:
“Cram Racing Enterprises has agreed to dissolve a contract between out organization and a former development driver at their request.”
Kevin Cram added, “Everyone at Cram Racing Enterprises wishes to extend our best wishes to them moving forward and we hope to see them continue to excel in whatever comes next.”
