It’s the Duel in the Desert on the 0.5-mile Dirt Track at LVMS. Tonight, super late model drivers take the green in Las Vegas, Nevada. The week long show welcomes the division for their first night of action.

Report
Green, Moyer launches from the cushion and he’s clear of Davenport into turn one. Davenport drives it deep to the bottom in turn one and he takes the lead off turn two.
Lap 5, Bobby Pierce has found speed around the bottom.
Lap 9, Davenport has caught the tail of the field. Behind him, Pierce takes 2nd away.
Lap 12, Billy Moyer Sr knocks the cushion and blows a right rear in turn four. The caution is out.
Pierce has a flat on caution. He heads for the pit lane.
Green, Davenport leads as Overton and McCreadie run side by side for 2nd. Overton wins that battle on the cushion off turn 2.
Lap 13, Jeff Roth and Reid Millard tangle and the caution is back out.
Green, Davenport spins the tires and cuts across the nose of McCreadie in the process. Davenport leads Overton into turn one.
McCreadie jumps the cushion in turn four and falls to 4th as Josh Richards takes over 3rd.
Lap 20, Davenport leads Overton by 10 car lengths.
Lap 22, Billy Moyer slows and the caution is out.
Green, Davenport and Overton launch from the cushion. Richards slides Overton for 2nd into turn one to take 2nd away.
Lap 24, back in turn one, Overton drives it deep to the bottom and returns with a slider of his own, Overton back to 2nd. He squeezed the gap as Richards was already heading for the bottom when Overton threw it in.
Halfway
Lap 26, the caution is out for debris.
Green, Davenport leads into turn one. Overton drives it deep through the middle and he pulls even with Davenport but Davenport has the run off the cushion in turn two.
Lap 30, Tim McCreadie and Josh Richards fight for space on the bottom in turn one, MCCreadie takes 3rd away.
5 to go, Bobby Pierce has climbed to 5th with a slider on Johnny Scott after the early pit stop.
2 to go, Davenport is on the cushion and driving away.
