This test is almost exactly a month following a separate test at the same track. NASCAR is back to tweak with various rules packages to solidify rules for 2022.
Three different aero/engine packages were seen in use on Wednesday alone. One of those saw a much shorter rear spoiler than previous editions of the car.
The pace car was even deployed for teams to practice restarts alone. We saw racing, in a practice session. Tyler Reddick also spun and spectacularly crashed into the sand barriers.

Wednesday’s test will be followed by a data observation day on Thursday. Teams will return to the track on Friday with a plan to try various packages.
Ryan Blaney topped Wednesday’s test session at Charlotte Motor Speedway. He turned a 29.668.
