NASCAR tv viewership for the Daytona 500; Every race so far in 2022
On Sunday, NASCAR opened their 2022 regular season in Daytona Beach, Florida. They dropped the green flag on the famed Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway.
Rookie driver Austin Cindric found himself in the front of the field in the closing laps. Off the final corner he threw a block on Ryan Blaney then Bubba Wallace to grab his first career Daytona 500 win.
Sunday’s race saw an average of 8,868,000 million viewers. That’s up from the last several years.
The race was the most watched Daytona 500 since 2019 which had 9,184,000 viewers. The race peaked at 10,570,000 million viewers between 6:30-6:45.
It was also the second most-streamed event in FOX Sports history. 77,107 was the average minute audience.
