Red Bull Racing also has a JR development program. Juri Vips is signed to the Red Bull Racing development ladder system. The 21-year-old from Estonia has climbed the ranks from Karting to Formula 2.

Vips has 43 starts in the Formula 2 Series. He’s claimed two wins and ten podium finishes along the way.

Earlier today, Vips used the n-word during an online game. The moment was screen recorded and can be heard below.

In 2020, NASCAR driver Kyle Larson used the word in similar fashion during an online race. He was suspended by NASCAR and his team. He eventually lost his ride as a result.

Red Bull Racing: Statement

“Red Bull Racing hbas suspended junior driver Juri Vips from all team duties with immediate effect, pending a full investigation into the incident.”

“As an organization we condemn abuse of any kind and have a zero-tolerance policy to racist language or behavior within our organization.”

Juri Vips: Statement

“I wish to unreservedly apologize for the offensive language used during a live gaming stream earlier today,” Vips opened in a statement posted to social media.

“This language is entirely unacceptable and does not portray the values and principals that I hold. I deeply regret my action and this is not the example I wish to set.”

He concluded, “I will cooperate with the investigation fully.”
