Main Event
Report
Green flag, they run side by side into turn one. They fight for space off turn two, Tracy has issues off turn two. Andretti leads the field into turn three.
Lap 4, Biffle makes contact with the left rear of Andretti but he can’t take the lead away.
Lap 12, Biffle has a run off turn four. He looks to the inside, leans on his rear bumper and doors him to take the lead.
Lap 14, Andretti pushes Biffle up the track. Andretti cuts under him as Biffle gathers it up, Andretti back to the lead!
Lap 17, Tony Stewart works inside of Andretti. Tony Stewart clears him to take the lead.
Lap 20, Andretti works back inside of Stewart and they run side by side for the lead. Several laps later, Andretti finally clears him on the inside.
Race break
Lap 34, the race break caution is out.
Green, Stewart and Andretti run side by side for the lead. Several laps later, they remain side by side.
Lap 45, caution for debris as Michael Waltrip has lost a fender.
Green, Stewart clears Andretti via the outside lane.
Lap 52, Paul Tracy tags Greg Biffle off turn two. Biffle goes for a wild ride through the infield but he re-enters the track in turn three. Biffle falls from 4th to 11th.
18 to go, Stewart, Andretti and Ryan Newman run bumper to bumper in the battle for the win.
17 to go, Andretti works inside of Stewart once more.
12 to go, Andretti finally clears Stewart.
11 to go, the caution is out to set a 10 lap shootout.
Green, Andretti clears Stewart. Newman works inside of Stewart and takes 2nd away.
7 to go, Newman runs wide into turn three. He crosses under Andretti with a late apex in turn four. Newman and Andretti rubs doors into turn one, Newman to the lead!
