Stage 1 – Report

Laps: 70 (1-70 / 400)

Green flag, they run side by side into turn one. Several laps later, Bowman finally clears him via the inside lane.

Lap 4, Kyle Busch and Ross Chastain make light contact as they fight for space off the corner.

Lap 10, William Byron drives it deep into turn three on the outside lane. He works to the right rear of Bowman and takes the race lead away. Byron leads the field.

Lap 31, the competition caution is out.

Byron leads the field to the pit lane. Ross Chastain wins the race to the pit exit.

Pit Penalties: Denny Hamlin will drop to the rear after speeding on the pit lane. Todd Gilliland also drops to the tail.

Green, Chastain leads Byron into turn one. Four wide for 4th behind them.

Lap 45, JJ Yeley crowds Denny Hamlin off turn four. Hamlin turns Yeley into turn one, caution.

Green, Chastain spins the tires. Larson dives inside to make it three wide for the lead. Larson and Byron run side by side off turn two. Byron holds him off.

William Byron wins stage one at Richmond Raceway!

Stage 2 – Report

Laps: 160 (71-230 / 400)

Pit Penalties: Ryan Blaney and AJ Allmendiger drop to the rear of the field after speeding on the pit lane.

Green flag on stage two, Byron clears Larson off turn two. Chastain works under Kyle Larson to take 2nd away.

Lap 95, Josh Berry spins off turn four with help from Ryan Blaney, caution.

Green, Byron leads as Larson pinches off Chastain to take 2nd away.

Lap 124, Larson is on the bumper of Byron in the battle for the lead. He works to the outside, Larson to the lead.

Lap 168, a green flag pit cycle is complete. Larson leads Byron by 0.5 seconds.

Lap 196, Byron works inside of Larson in turn one. Byron returns to the lead.

Lap 206, Byron works heavy lap traffic. Christopher Bell forces his way to the outside of Byron. Bell leans on the bumper of Harrison Burton to move the lap car out of the way. Bell takes the lead away.

3 to go in stage two, Denny Hamlin is on the bumper of Bell for the stage win. Bell moves to the top to defend, Hamlin cuts to the inside.

Hamlin clears Bell into turn one. Denny Hamlin wins stage two at Richmond Raceway!

Green flag on stage three, Hamlin gets the jump as Byron spins the tires. Truex Jr takes 2nd away.

98 to go, Martin Truex Jr cycles to the race lead. Hamlin had a slow stop as the crew didn’t tighten the right front on the first attempt and they had to jack the car back up.

Pit Penalty: Bubba Wallace will serve a pass through penalty as a crew member fell over the wall.

96 to go, Noah Gragson is in the wall, caution.

Green, Truex Jr clears Byron into turn one.

64 to go, Truex Jr leads Byron by 1 second.

33 to go, another green flag pit cycle is complete. William Byron cycles to the race lead as Truex Jr trails by 0.5 seconds.

30 to go

30 to go, Truex Jr dives inside of Byron, side by side for the race lead.

29 to go, Tyler Reddick spins, caution.

Byron leads the field to the pit lane. Larson wins the race to the pit exit. Byron exits in 4th with a slow stop.

Pit Penalty: Denny Hamlin has been caught speeding and he’ll drop to the rear for the second time today.

Green, Larson and Berry fight for space into turn one. Bell gets into the left rear of Byron behind them. Byron spins, tags the outside wall and the caution is out.

Green, Larson clears Berry off turn two.

5 to go, Larson leads Berry by 1 second.
