Sun Drop remains a sponsor of the JR Motorsports late model team

He’s still behind the wheel. The driver has been racing one-off asphalt late model stock events.

Sun Drop has agreed to a two-year renewal. The company will serve as a primary sponsor for one event in 2023 and another in 2024.

This season, the Sun Drop car will be raced at North Wilkesboro Speedway. The late model event takes place the week of the NASCAR All-Star race.

“We’re excited to team back up with Sun Drop,” said Earnhardt Jr. “Sun Drop has been a part of my life since I was a kid. It’s special to be able to work with a company that is authentic to who I am. I appreciate all Sun Drop has done for me over the years and for them hearing me out last year when I wanted to bring that car back to North Wilkesboro.”

The company has gone 480 weeks without new content on their Facebook and Instagram channels. The new partnership has re-launched both channels.

Sun Drop began sponsoring Dale Earnhardt Jr’s late model stock team in 1994.

JR Motorsports will field the machine at North Wilkesboro Speedway on May 17th. Carson Kvapil will run as a teammate to Earnhardt in the event.

The Sun Drop sponsorship also brings a line of throwback merchandise to race fans. You can view that collection here.
