Connor Mosack put Greg Van Alst in the wall at Charlotte Motor Speedway
Grag Van Alst opened his 2023 season with a win at Daytona International Speedway. However, he’s had a string of bad weeks in the ARCA Menards Series.

On Friday night, the ARCA Menards Series raced at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Once again, Van Alst went off on the hook.
Van Alst stayed out on a restart near the halfway mark of the race. Connor Mosack and others were coming from behind with fresh tires.
On lap 48 of 100, Van Alst run the middle in turn three. Mosack missed the bottom and drove into the left rear of Van Alst.
He attempted to save it as the front wheels went right. Yet, he was unable and Van Alst slammed the outside wall in turn four.
Van Alst climbed from his mangled machine with his hands in the air.
Greg Van Alst is a 41-year-old racer from Indiana. He has 1 career win and 15 top-10s in the ARCA Menards Series.
Connor Mosack is a 24-year-old driver. He’s still chasing his first career ARCA win.
Greg Van Alst comments
“He just drove through us,” Greg Van Alst told Fox Sports after exiting the infield care center.
“I know he’s on better tires, we got 4 laps until the break. Just, not respect.”
“There’s three other lanes out there. I’m in the middle lane, he could’ve went lower or he could’ve went higher. He just left rear’s us.”
“I don’t know, it’s frustrating because we keep getting wrecked. You can’t race anybody anymore. Just the way racing is anymore, nobody passes clean. They just drive through ya.”
“I’m getting kinda frustrated with it. Maybe I just go race with my boys and do this 1-2 times a year.”
“Like I said, there’s three other lanes out there and he’s gotta pick the same one I’m in.”
Van Alst concluded, “I’ll have a talk with him and see what he says. But, he better say he’s sorry because I may not make the next one now.”
Van Alst is schedule to run full-time in 2023. It’s a family owned team.
