The field is split into two groups for the opening round of qualifying. The top 5 from each group advance into the final round. For everyone else, Group A sets the outside row and Group B sets the inside row.
William Byron tagged the wall during his qualifying lap. He still completed the lap but lost a bunch of time and picked up minor right side damage. Blaney also brushed the wall but with a little less contact.
