Race Report
Green flag, Palou blocks the inside lane. He brakes late into turn one and misses the corner! Lundgaard takes the lead away.
Lap 2, Santino Ferrucci runs Romain Grosjean wide and in the grass. These two had issues in the warmup earlier today.
Penalty: Marcus Ericsson will have to give up 5 positions for avoidable contact with teammates Colton Herta.
Lap 25, the first pit cycle is complete. Lundgaard leads Will Power by 1.6 seconds.
Lap 42, Alex Palou cycles out ahead of Lundgaard. Pit strategy places Palou in the lead as Lundgaard lost time in lap traffic.
Lap 45, Palou leads Lundgaard by 2 seconds.
Lap 56, Santino Ferrucci has suffered a mechanical failure. He pulls to the pit lane and he’s out of the race.
Lap 62, Palou, Lundgaard and Power dives for the pit lane together. A slow stop for Lundgaard and Power takes over 2nd.
Lap 66, Luca Ghiotto spins and stalls. A full course yellow is deployed.
Green, Palou blocks the inside into turn one. Power works alongside. Palou runs Power wide out of turn one to hold the lead.
