Things got heated in the Modified race at Franklin County Speedway
On Friday night, the SMART Modified Tour raced on the 3/8-mile of Franklin County Speedway in Callaway, Virginia.

With just 8 laps to go in the race, Ryan Newman felt he was used up by Luke Baldwin, son of Tommy Baldwin Jr. They were racing for the win. After the contact, each driver was out of a chance at the win.
After the race, Ryan Newman attempted to have a discussion with Luke Baldwin. Father Tommy Baldwin Jr wasn’t having it. The two came face to face…
Ryan Newman stated, “He drove me into the f****** fence.”
Tommy Baldwin Jr responded, “On a restart, how do you think…”
He was quickly interrupted by Newman who added, “Are you driving the f****** car? Then, shut the f*** up and go back to your pits.”
Baldwin then screaming, “f*** you!”
Newman, “F*** me then!”
As he said that, Newman shoved Baldwin Jr across the pit area. Multiple crew members and drivers jumped in to separate the two.
Baldwin added, “Let him go. You f****** touch him, I’ll be at your f****** ass.”
Baldwin continued, “I tried talking to you. You ain’t f****** listening.”
Newman responded, “You ain’t driving the car! I’ll talk to your boy”
Baldwin, “I seen…”
Newman, “I don’t give a f*** what you seen.”
Newman then turned around and walked away.
