NASCAR team withdraws entry from Iowa Speedway

MBM Motorsports pulls the No. 66 entry

This weekend, the NASCAR Cup Series is heading to Iowa Speedway. It will mark the first time in the 18-year history of the track that it hosts a Cup Series event.

MBM Motorsports had their #66 car on the entry list this weekend. However, just ahead of the event, the team has pulled their entry.

The team previously withdrew the same entry from the Coca-Cola 600 last month.

MBM Motorsports issued the following statement:

“Unfortunately, we had to withdraw the #66 entry from the Iowa Corn 350, as sponsorship did not materialize in time,” MBM Motorsports stated.

The team added, “Our next planned NASCAR Cup Series start: Nashville Superspeedway.”

David Starr last ran with MBM at Martinsville where he finished 37th.
