Stage 1 – Report

Laps: 20 (1-20 / 90)

Green flag, Chastain gets the jump and he takes the lead into turn one. Truex Jr has a look into turn two, Chastain closes the door.

Kyle Busch spins in the bus stop on lap 1 with help from Corey LaJoie. Christopher Bell, Ryan Blaney, Ricky Stenhouse Jr and Denny Hamlin are collected and the caution is out.

Green, Chastain is clear before turn one.

Lap 14, Shane van Gisbergen has a run on Truex Jr off turn six. He dives inside in turn 7, and van Gisbergen takes 2nd away.

As stage one is closing on the end, most of the leaders dive for the pit lane to flip the stage.

Martin Truex Jr stays out and he wins stage one at Watkins Glen International!

Stage 2 – Report

Laps: 20 (21-40 / 90)

Green flag on stage two, Chastain and McDowell run side by side for the lead. Chastain wins the battle. Tyler Reddick spins behind them, no caution.

Lap 30, Shane van Gisbergen is all over the bumper of Chastain in the battle for the lead.

3 to go in stage two, most of the field dives for the pit lane. Chastain and van Gisbergen have yet to pit.

Just as the leaders we’re heading to the pit lane, Daniel Suarez is stuck in the sand trap and the caution is out!

Stage 3 – Report

Laps: 50 (41-90 / 90)

Chastain and van Gisbergen stay out.

Pit Penalties: Kyle Larson, Brad Keselowski, Bubba Wallace, Tyler Reddick, Zane Smith and Daniel Suarez will drop to the rear.

Green flag on stage three, Chastain leads out of turn one. Briscoe tags the left rear of van Gisbergen and he’s nearly turned but he holds 2nd.

Lap 47, Denny Hamlin, Keselowski and Larson run three wide into turn two. They’re out of room and Hamlin is turned into the wall. The caution is out.

Green, Chastain is clear before turn one. Shane van Gisbergen and Michael McDowell run side by side for 2nd into turn two. McDowell lifts, van Gisbergen holds 2nd.

Lap 54, van Gisbergen has a look on the inside of Chastain into turn one. He can’t complete the pass. The top 5 have lined up behind Chastain, he’s holding them up.

Buescher takes 2nd away from van Gisbergen! Buescher has must fresher tires.

Lap 57, Buescher works to the outside of Chastain into turn 7! Buescher takes the lead away.

Lap 59, Chastain, Briscoe and van Gisbergen head for the pit lane under green.

Lap 60, Buescher pits from the race lead.

Austin Dillon turns Christopher Bell from 12th. Bell was attempting to turn into the pit lane as the time of the contact. No caution.

22 to go

22 to go, Logano leads and he’s trying to make it from here after putting on lap 48. Buescher runs 6th, 7 seconds behind the leader.

18 to go, Buescher has caught the bumper of Logano in the battle for the lead. He leans on him into turn 7. Buescher has a run into turn one and with much fresher tires, Buescher takes the lead away!

11 to go, Harrison Burton has a flat tire. As he limps to the pit lane, he’s dropping tire debris. The caution is out.

Green with 7 to go, Buescher and Hocevar run side by side into turn one. Buescher wins the battle to turn two.

William Byron and Brad Keselowski tangle behind them! Byron climbs on top of Keselowski and the caution is out.

3 to go

Green with 3 to go, Buescher clears Hocevar out of turn one. Josh Berry, Martin Truex Jr and Austin Cindric find the turn two wall as they run three wide and fight for space. Tyler Reddick is turned behind them and the caution is out.

Green in overtime, Shane van Gisbergen nudges the bumper of Buescher into turn one! Buescher wiggles into the door of Hocevar. Shane van Gisbergen works under them both and takes the lead into turn two!

1 to go, van Gisbergen leads Buescher by three car lengths.

Shane van Gisbergen drops a wheel exiting the bus stop! They fight for space and rub doors! Van Gisbergen is sideways, Buescher to the lead!
