NASCAR made teams install new aerodynamic pieces for Talladega Suerpseedway; Both RFK Racing cars were missing the parts at the finish
Ahead of Talladega Superspeedway, NASCAR issued new rules. Several new parts were attached to the cars. The parts were installed to help prevent lift when a car is turned backwards or sideways.
The parts worked as a 28 car crash resulted in no blow-overs.

After the race, it was spotted that Brad Keselowski and Chris Buescher were both missing pieces of their new roof rails. Both of these cars are out of the RFK Racing shop.
NASCAR comments on the missing roof rails
“Only part of the roof rail was gone,” Elton Sawyer confirmed and clarified via Sirius XM NASCAR Radio.
“The bolts were tight. We checked that. We’re still looking into that.”
“Obviously, a new part that we just put on the superspeedway cars this week. So, not a lot to report on that because I don’t have a lot of information in front of me at the moment. We will look into that, much deeper.”
“There’s a malfunction there. I don’t have a great answer for you at the moment.”
Denny Hamlin comments
Hamlin asked via Action’s Detrimental, “Is it an accident that the No. 6 and No. 17 both had both pieces missing from their car post-race?”
Hamlin added, “No! I don’t care what excuse anyone tries to give.”
