Stage 1 – Report
Laps: 130 (1-130 / 500)
Green flag, Truex Jr gets the jump and he’s clear off turn two. Elliott holds 2nd.
Lap 42, Truex Jr moves to the top lane as he plays defense with Elliott is on his bumper. Elliott works inside and drives right by, Elliott leads.
Pit Penalty: Martin Truex Jr is caught speeding on the pit lane. He’ll serve a penalty and be deep in the field.
Lap 79, Christopher Bell misses the bottom. He chases the car up the hill and into the side of Corey LaJoie. Bell spins and the caution is out.
Green, Elliott and Byron run side by side for the lead. Several laps later, Elliott wins the battle via the inside lane.
1 to go in stage one, Byron leans on the back bumper of Elliott.

Stage 2 – Report
Laps: 130 (131-260 / 500)
Green flag on stage two, Byron gets the drive off turn two via the outside lane and he wins the race into turn three. Byron to the lead.
Lap 145, Austin Cindric shoves Daniel Hemric into the corner. Hemric chases it up the track into the side of Daniel Suarez. Suarez spins and the caution is out.
Green, Byron clears Elliott off turn two.
Lap 158, Harrison Burton throws a block on Carson Hocevar into turn three. Hocevar leans into his bumper and sends him spinning, caution.
Green, Byron and Elliott run side by side for the lead. A lap later, Byron holds him off via the inside lane.
Lap 184, Martin Truex Jr spins with help from Daniel Hemric and the caution is out.
Byron leads most of the field to the pit lane. Slow stop for Elliott as they struggled with the right rear. Blaney and others stay out.
Green, Ryan Blaney gets the jump and he’s clear of Denny Hamlin before turn one.
Lap 196, Hemric throws a block on Hocevar. Hocevar ships him and turns him. Todd Gilliland is collected, caution.
Green, Blaney and Keselowski rub doors for the lead. Keselowski wins the battle via the outside lane.
Brad Keselowski holds off Ryan Blaney to win stage two at Martinsville Speedway!

Stage 3 – Report

Pit trouble for Christopher Bell and he’ll restart at the rear.
Green flag on stage three, Keselowski holds the lead from Larson into turn one.
Lap 381, Elliott cycles to the race lead as he’s on an alternative pit strategy. He pitted 20 laps ahead of Keselowski. Byron trails by 5 seconds.
Lap 398, Hocevar is turned with help from Alex Bowman and the caution is out.
Elliott leads half the field to the pit lane. Byron stays out and takes over the lead. Elliott restarts 7th.
94 to go
Green, Larson gets the jump. The caution is out quickly as Kyle Busch has lost a wheel. Larson is handed the lead.
Green, Larson clears Byron off turn two.
79 to go, Elliott works inside of Byron into turn one. Elliott climbs to 2nd. Larson leads by 1 second but he has slightly older tires.
40 to go, Larson works heavy lap traffic. Elliott still trails by 1 second. Elliott needs a win to advance in the playoffs.
35 to go, Tyler Reddick pulls to the garage as he’s on fire. No caution.
26 to go
26 to go, Elliott has climbed to the bumper of Larson. Blaney is right there with them. We have a race!
24 to go, Elliott looks inside of Larson into turn one. Elliott to the lead! Blaney forces his way inside of Larson. Larson shoves him into the next corner but Blaney holds him off for 2nd.
16 to go, Elliott leads but Blaney has climbed to his bumper! Both drivers need a win in order to advance.
15 to go, Blaney has a run off turn two. He looks inside in turn three. Blaney takes the lead away!
Ryan Blaney wins at Martinsville Speedway! Christopher Bell slides Bubba Wallace in the final corner and with that pass, he’s tied with Byron for the final spot in the championship 4. Bell wins the tie-breaker.
Update: After a lengthy review, NASCAR declared that Bell pulled a wall ride move on the final lap. They since deemed that William Byron will advance into the championship round.
