Today’s race at Talladega Superspeedway ended in a video review; Jeb Burton is sure that he won it
On Saturday, the NASCAR Xfinity Series raced at Talladega Superspeedway. A crash on the final lap of the race immeditaly brought the race to an end.
In that scenario, NASCAR reviews the video with a timestamp. At the time of the caution, they use video to declare who was out front at the time of the caution.
The race ended at timestamp 17:20:49. After review, Austin Hill was declared the race winner.
Jeb Burton drives for the small team of Jordan Anderson Racing. Burton has two career NASCAR Xfinity Series wins in 185 starts with the last win coming in 2023.

Jeb Burton claims he won the race
“I feel like when the caution flew I was ahead of the No. 21,” Jeb Burton told the CW.
“I don’t know if we can call it or what. Last week at Rockingham, I got pretty screwed on a yellow, putting me back a row.”
“Then today, lose the race because I’m sure, a timing line. But, I don’t see the No. 21 ahead of me, at all.”
When a caution comes out on the final lap of any race, NASCAR reviews the tape to determine who was in the lead at the time of the caution. In this case, it doesn’t result to a timing line.
“Right there, you can see my nose is in front of the No. 21. I don’t know what we’re looking at.”
“That angle right there, we won the race. I think I got the best view of it, compared to anybody.”
“They need to go look at it. Because every angle I keep seeing, we win the race.”
“Just frustrated with that. Maybe they can show us a different angle here.”
“Still, look at the tire ahead of the tire. I don’t know what’s so complicated there. They need to go look at it.”
“We’re going to protest, if you can protest. Because I think we won this race.”
“We don’t have a lot of chances to win. That’s what’s frustrating,” Burton walked away in tears.
