On Sunday, the NASCAR Cup Series raced in Mexico for the first time. After the race, a rivalry continues to build.

With 10 laps to go, Carson Hocevar locked up under braking into the stadium section of the track. Unfortunately for him, the worst driver of all was lined up in the tracks again.
Hocevar clipped the bumper of Stenhouse Jr. Stenhouse Jr was sent spinning in front of the crowd.
Stenhouse Jr has had enough. And after the race, Stenhouse Jr walked right to the driver’s window of the No. 77 car.

He stuck his head all the way into the cockpit and screamed at Hocevar.
“I’m going to beat your ass,” Stenhouse Jr opened. “You’re a lap down, you got nothing to lose.”
Stenhouse added, “Why’d you run into me for the second time!?”
Hocevar responded, “I was locked up.”
Stenhouse yelled, “I don’t give a damn! “
Hocevar stated, “I (expletive) up.”
Stenhouse confirmed, “I will be at your ass. I will when we get back to the States.”
Hocevar has been a growing headache for Stenhouse Jr. At Nashville Superspeedway, Hocevar drove right into the back of him and sent him into the wall.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr comments after the incident
Stenhouse Jr told Bob Pockrass, “I told him on the phone, ‘If it happens again, we’re going to have issues.’ “
“And then, that one was even worse because he’s a lap down. He’s racing nobody.”
“I was working on the No. 34, trying to work my way forward. The tire attrition was pretty difficult coming down to the end of it.”
“From two-three [car lengths] back, he just ran right into the back of us. Really dumb move. Two out of three weeks, on me now.”
“So, I told him exactly what I was going to do when we talked last time. I told him, ‘I’ll see him when we get back to the States.’ “
“I was really mad, I usually don’t cuss or anything. That stuff gets me pretty heated when I’m out there on the lead lap. I felt like we had a car that was better on the long run versus the guys we were racing. I felt like I could have got into the top 20 right there but didn’t have the opportunity.”
The next NASCAR Cup Series race comes next weekend. The race will be held at Pocono Raceway in Pennsylvania.
