Race Report
Green flag, Power is clear into turn one. Pato O’Ward moves to the top lane and quickly climbs to 3rd.
Lap 35, Power leads Newgarden by 0.6 seconds.
Lap 65, Power and Newgarden both pit under green. They exit the pit lane side by side and nearly touch as they get up to speed on the apron. Power holds the lead.
Lap 83, Newgarden has a run on Power into turn one. He dives to the inside and they run side by side for the lead. A lap later, Power gets loose on the outside lane, Newgarden to the lead.
Lap 100, Newgarden leads Power by 1 second.
Lap 120, Kyle Kirkwood runs wide and tags the outside wall, caution.
The leaders head for the pit lane. Newgarden holds the lead.
Green, Newgarden leads Power and O’Ward. O’Ward rolls the outside lane and pulls alongside Power for 2nd. They fight for space off turn two, Power holds the spot.
Lap 184, Newgarden stuggles with lap traffic. As he bobbles, Power closes to his bumper. Newgarden holds him off.
Lap 195, Newgarden and Power pit together under green. Newgarden exits the pit lane with 2 second gap as O’Ward takes over 2nd.
Lap 236
Lap 236, Newgarden is in the outside wall! The car got loose as he run the bottom in turn four, it spuns and he slammed the outside wall. The caution is out.
O’Ward and the rest of the leaders head for the pit lane.
Green, O’Ward leads Power off turn two.
30 to go, O’Ward leads Power by 1.5 seconds.
10 to go, O’Ward opens the gap.
