The NASCAR rules package has changed the racing on most 1.5-mile tracks. Higher downforce, 200 less horsepower and aero ducts bunch up the field come race day.
NASCAR has already visited Las Vegas Motor Speedway with this package in 2019. However, this time, it’s a lot warmer.

Final Practice – Report
Duration: 50 minutes
Over half the field lines up on the pit lane ahead of the session. Kyle Busch is the first car to take to the track as the green flag waves.
They’re wide open around the 1.5-mile track with the new rules package.
17 laps into a run, Harvick is lifting off the throttle. It’s going to be about who can stay under full throttle for the long amount of time come race day.
Kurt Busch is a playoff driver. Right now, he’s struggling with the rear end and sits 21st on the timing sheets.

The NASCAR Playoff drivers have locked out the top 10 at the halfway point. Joey Logano leads the sheet with his teammates just behind him.
15 minutes remain, Logano was leading a pack of cars. He lifted to get to the back of the line. He’s working on his car in the draft.
