Stage 1 – Report

Lap: 80

Green flag, Harvick and Logano run side by side into turn one. Harvick leads.

Lap 15, Harvick and Logano battle at the front. Harvick makes light contact with the left rear of Logano off the corner. Harvick takes over the lead on the inside.

Lap 24, Kevin Harvick slides off turn two. He comes close or just barely brushes the wall, it was that close.

Pit stops

Lap 26, the competition caution is out.

The field heads to the pit lane. Harvick is first in and first off.

Green, Harvick and Truex run even. Blaney puts Elliott and Keselowski three wide for 4th and Blaney takes the spot on the inside.

Three laps later, they remain side by side at the front. Harvick drives it deep to the bottom in turn three and he’s finally clear.

Lap 60, Harvick leads Chase Elliott by 1.5 seconds. The stage is coming to a close but Elliott is running down the leader late in this run.

Lap 66, Chase Elliott is on the bumper of Harvick for the lead. Elliot runs wide in turn three to build momentum. He swings to the inside of Harvick off turn four and Elliott drives it deep to the bottom in turn one and takes over the lead.

Chase Elliott takes the win in stage 1!

Stage 2 – Report

Lap: 80

The field heads to the pit lane. Chase Elliott is first in and first off.

Green flag on stage two, Elliott and Truex run even at the line. Harvick looks to the inside and makes it three wide for the lead on the bottom into turn one. Harvick leads off turn two. They run three and four wide behind them.

Lap 100, Elliott is running the race leader back down. He’s there and drives right by.

Lap 110, Bubba Wallace works close to the rear bumper of Christopher Bell. That gets him aero loose. Bell is completely sideways but he saves it and keep going. Bell only lost two positions.

Pit cycle

Lap 120, green flag pit stops are underway. Truex pits from 2nd and Harvick joins him on lap 123. Lap 124, Chase Elliott heads for the pit lane. Truex cycles ahead of Elliott by getting fresh tires a lap earlier.

Pit Penalty: Hamlin is handed a pass through penalty.

Lap 137, Ricky Stenhouse Jr, Nemechek and LaJoie have yet to pit.

Lap 142, Chase Elliott has run down Truex. He dives to the inside in turn one and clear. Elliott has had the car to beat in a long run, all day.

16 to go in stage two, Stenhouse Jr finally heads for the pits. Elliott leads Truex by a half second.

2 laps to go in stage two, Christopher Bell is around from 25th and the caution is out.

Stage 3 – Report

Laps: 107

The field heads to the pit lane. Chase Elliott is first in but it’s a slow stop for him. Both Ryan Blaney and Martin Truex Jr beat him to the pit exit.

Trouble for Tuex as he’s forced to return to the pit lane. The crew missed some lug nuts.

Green flag on stage three, Logano is all over the bumper of Blaney. Logano pulls out ahead of turn one, Blaney blocks. Chase Elliott has a run on both of them off turn two, Logano throws a huge block and Elliott slams into his bumper. Logano works clear of Blaney.

Nemechek spins on his own and the caution is out.

Green, Harvick is on the bumper of Logano on the inside. He works to the outside lane and pulls to the right rear of Logano. Chase Elliott moves to lane three and he goes backwards in a hurry with that move. Logano holds the lead on the bottom.

Martin Truex Jr makes light contact with the wall as he tries to work back through the field.

Caution

Lap 176, Martin Truex Jr is in the wall. He was hit with a flat tire and it sent him hard into the wall.

The top 15 cars stay out. William Byron is the first car on four tires, he’s restarting 16th.

Green, Logano and Blaney run even into turn one. Jimmie Johnson is on the bumper of Blaney on the outside, Blaney leads off turn two. Harvick makes it three wide for 2nd and he takes that spot.

Harvick quickly runs down Blaney and he returns to the lead.

67 to go, Blaney is running down Harvick. Harvick heads for the bottom in turn one. Blaney heads for the top. Off the corner, Blaney has the momentum. Blaney crosses under Harvick off turn two and retakes the lead.

63 to go, Chase Elliott has run down Blaney. Elliott dives to the inside in turn one. Blaney pinches him down and they nearly make contact! Elliott to the lead.

Pit cycle

58 to go, Aric Almirola heads to the pit lane. Larson follows on the next lap.

51 to go, Harvick pits from 3rd. 50 to go, Logano to the pit lane.

50 to go, Chase Elliott pits from the race lead. 2nd place Ryan Blaney joins him on the pit lane. Blaney wins the race off the pit lane.

Caution

47 to go, the caution is out as Chase Elliott has a flat left rear into turn one. He makes light contact with the outside wall.

Only 3 cars are on the lead lap. Stenhouse, Preece and Nemechek head for the pit lane. Everyone else stays out to take the wave around.

Green, Logano is on the bumper of Nemechek on the inside lane. Nemechek runs wide in turn one and Logano takes the lead.

18 to go, Harvick is backing up once again. Blaney runs him down, dives to his inside and clear. Harvick has had a short run car all day.

14 to go, Blaney is running down the leader as he runs right against the outside wall. Logano runs the bottom.

13 to go, Logano moves to the top in turn three to take the outside lane away. Blaney dives to the bottom and he clears him off turn four. Blaney used every inch of the race track and nearly clipped the outside wall off the corner.

6 to go

6 to go, Ross Chastain is around and the caution is out!

Logano stays out with 6 others. Blaney and others hit the pit lane. Keselowski is the first car to the pit exit.

Green, Stenhouse Jr pushes Logano to the lead on the outside. Three wide for 2nd. Johnson makes it four wide.

White flag, Logano leads. Several drivers spin and the race is over.
