Harrison Burton is making his NASCAR Cup Series debut.
All of the Toyotas, except Kyle Busch will drop the rear for unapproved adjustments. That includes Denny Hamlin, was would have led them to the green.
Joey Logano and Alex Bowman line up on the front row. 188 laps of stock car racing are up next…
Talladega Race
Stage 1 – Report
Lap 60 (1-60 / 188)
Green flag, Logano is clear into turn one. He blocks both lanes off turn two. Byron is having none of it he dives to the inside in turn three and pulls even with Logano.
Lap 2, Kyle Larson hits the pit lane as he’s overheating. The hood goes up and Larson is a lap down early.
Lap 8, the crew has found a shield that was left in front of the radiator. It’s used to protect the radiator in transport. A crew member mistakenly left it in for the race. Larson has blown up.
Lap 13, Bubba Wallace to the lead on the inside with a push from Kevin Harvick.
Lap 16, Kevin Harvick has a run on Wallace. Harvick to the lead on the outside.
Lap 22, Kyle Busch leads Christopher Bell on the inside lane as they push to the lead.
Competition caution
Lap 26, the competition caution is out. Busch leads them in but Hamlin wins the race to the pit exit.
Pit Penalty: Harrison Burton will be sent to the rear as he drags the fuel can off the pit lane.
Green, Hamlin gets the jump and leads Kyle Busch into turn one.
Lap 35, Hamlin blocks all three lanes and holds the lead.
Lap 40, Joey Gase spins with a mechanical issue and the caution is out.
Green, Hamlin leads with a push from Blaney.
Lap 49, Ryan Blaney has a run on the outside lane with a push from Kesleowski. They drive right by Hamlin as the inside lane loses momentum.
Lap 52, Matt DiBenedetto to the race lead as he rides the momentum from the inside lane rebuilding speed.
Lap 55, Ryan Preece to the lead on the inside. DiBenedetto works to the inside as Preece blocks the outside lane. DiBenedetto returns to the lead.
Final lap in stage one, DiBenedetto blocks. Hamlin gets sideways as they check up in front of him and he clips Joey Logano. Logano is upside down and the caution is out.

Stage 2 – Report
Lap 60 (61-120 / 188)
DiBenedetto leads the field to the pit lane but Chase Elliott wins the race to the pit exit. 8 cars stay out.
Green flag on stage two, Elliott and Hamlin run side by side for the lead. Hamlin wins the battle on the outside lane with a push from DiBenedetto.
Lap 70, Matt DiBenedetto gets a shove to the lead on the outside lane.
Hamlin fights back on the inside lane to retake the lead. They run four wide behind them.
Pit cycle
Lap 85, green flag pit stops are underway. The entire Chevy camp hits the pit lane.
Lap 89, The Ford group hits the pit lane.
Lap 90, Hamlin leads the Toyota group to the pit lane.
Pit penalty: Daniel Suarez and Denny Hamlin have been caught speeding. They’ll each serve a pass through.
Lap 94, Ryan Preece has cycled to the race lead.
Pit Penalty: As Hamlin served his penalty, he was caught speeding again. He’ll serve yet another pass through.
Ross Chastain blocks Preece in an attempt to stay on the lead lap. In the process, William Byron drives by to take the lead.
Lap 104, Kurt Busch is up in smoke and the caution is out.
Green, Byron and DiBenedetto run even into turn one. Byron wins the battle on the outside.
Lap 111
Lap 111, DiBenedetto to the lead. DiBenedetto throws a block on Kyle Busch and they both nearly spin. Bubba Wallace stays in the gas, drives by both and takes the lead.
4 to go in stage two, Wallace blocks both lanes.
2 to go in stage two, Denny Hamlin gets turned into the outside wall after Keselowski throws a block through the tri-oval. Truex Jr, William Byron, Chase Elliott and Alex Bowman are collected. The caution is out.

Stage 3 – Report
Lap 68 (121-188 / 188)
Wallace leads the field to the pit lane, Blaney wins the race to the pit exit.
Green flag on stage three, Blaney leads Wallace into turn one.
Lap 132, Blaney leads Almirola as the field runs single file around the top. Blaney lifts and lets Almirola by as Blaney has a pice of tape stuck on his grill. Blaney is able to remove it as he drafts Almirola.
40 to go, Ross Chastain leads a train on the inside with a push from Kurt Busch. Chastain to the race lead.
34 to go, Ross Chastain leads half the field to the pit lane. Ricky Stenhouse Jr spins and collects the wall coming to the pit lane, no caution.
Pit Penalty: Ryan Newman has been caught speeding. As he serves his penalty, he’s caught speeding for a second time.
28 to go, Christopher Bell cycles to the race lead with Chastain on his bumper.
27 to go, Bell pulls out of line and hands the lead to Ross Chastain.
19 to go, Erik Jones dives to the inside of Chastain. Erik Jones to the lead.
17 to go
17 to go, Quin Houff tags the wall and slows, caution.
Green, Erik Jones leads with a push from Ross Chastain.
12 to go, DiBenedetto to the lead on the outside lane with a push from Martin Truex Jr.
6 to go, DiBenedetto leads Blaney, Keselowski, Harvick and McDowell as the field runs single file around the top.
4 to go, Martin Truex Jr has a flat tire. The tire comes off and rolls across the track, caution.

Green, DiBenedetto and Blaney run side by side into turn one. DiBenedetto noses ahead on the bottom off turn two.
Blaney fights back on the outside into turn three with a push from Harvick. DiBenedetto side drafts Harvick and he has a run on Blaney, DiBenedetto back to the lead.
White flag, DiBenedetto moves high. Keseowski works to his inside with a push from McDowell. McDowell lifts to set back and build a run on Keselowski.
Multiple cars crash through the tri-oval.
Brad Keselwoski holds them off to win at Talladega Superspeedway!
