NASCAR practice results from Charlotte Motor Speedway; Multiple crashes due to PJ1

PJ1 traction compound has been applied. The top two lanes are darker than usual but it takes heat to activate those areas.

Practice – Report
Duration: 50 minutes
48 minutes remain, Timothy Peters’ truck doesn’t turn off the corner with a flat tire. He runs it up the hill and pancakes the outside wall. The red flag is out early.
35 minutes remain, John Hunter Nemechek jumps to the top of the board. On the very next lap he’s completely sideways off turn two. As he chases it up the hill, he tags the wall lightly with the right rear.
31 minutes remain, Akinori Ogata backs it into the fence off turn two. The traction compound likely played a role.The red flag is back out.

24 minutes remain, Drew Dollar is around off turn two! That’s the second truck from Kyle Busch Motorsports is lose it in the traction compound.
11 minutes remain, Keith McGee gets too high in turn two. He loses the backend in the traction compound and backs it into the wall. The red flag is out. That’s the fourth crash in turn two, all of them saw drivers in lane two which features the traction compound.
NASCAR has extended this session due to many red flags.

Austin Hill jumps to the top of the board in the closing seconds of the session and he wins practice at Charlotte Motor Speedway!
