Over a half-million is up for grabs this week at I-80 Speedway. Tonight, they’ll race for $7,000 to win but tomorrow will pay $30,000. Points are being collected to set the lineups for tomorrow.

Tim McCreadie tagged the wall in his qualifying session. He unloaded a backup car ahead of the heat race. He raced his way into the feature from the B Main.

Feature – Report

Spencer Hughes and Tyler Erb line up on the front row. 30 laps of dirt late model racing are up next…

Spencer Hughes, Tyler Erb - I-80 Speedway - Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series 7746

Green flag, Davenport takes them three wide from row two. Caution, false start.

Green, Erb and Hughes run side by side for the lead. Stormy Scott has a look between them but can’t get there. Erb leads off the cushion in turn two.

Lap 6, Richards and Bronson tangle into turn three. They both spin and Beonson backs it into the wall.

Dirt Late Model Crash at I-80 Speedway - Kyle Bronson, Jake Neal, Brandon Sheppard 7781

With the top lane blocked, Jake Neal slides into the scene with nowhere to go. Neal climbs on top of Bronson. Chris Simpson, Brandon Sheppard and Scott Bloomquist also get caught in the pileup. All drivers are ok, caution.

Green, Erb leads Scott off turn two.

Lap 9, gear issues for O’Neal and he’s off on the hook. The caution is back out.

Green, Erb leads as Scott has a look on the bottom in turn one. Erb wins the race off turn two with momentum from the cushion.

Lap 17, most of the leaders are on the cushion in turn one. Ricky Thornton Jr is leaning on it harder than anyone. Too hard as he jumps the cushion and brushes the wall in turn three.

Lap 20, Ricky Weiss looks inside of Scott to take 2nd away.

Lap 22, caution.

Green, Erb leads Weiss and Thornton Jr.

5 to go, Thornton Jr slides Weiss for 2nd in turn three. Weiss crosses back under him to retake the spot.

As they dice for 2nd, Erb opens the gap.

Tyler Erb wins at I-80 Speedway!
