47 minutes remain, Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch both lock up into turn one. A lap later, Busch locks up for the second lap in a row, same corner.
44 minutes remain, Hamlin is off in the grass. He returns to the pit lane.
31 minutes remain, AJ Allmendinger’s car is on jack stands. The team thinks they may have a transmission issue.
Austin Cindric is fastest at the halfway mark.

24 minutes remain, Erik Jones goes for a spin, no caution.
13 minutes remain, Keselowski locks up the front tires into turn one. He runs wide and into the grass but keeps it rolling.
10 minutes remain, Hamlin jumps to the top of the board.
8 minutes remain, Cindric locks up into turn 12. He runs wide and heads right for the pits.
5 minutes remain, Michael Mcdowell, Cody Ware and Bubba Wallace all lock up into turn one. Seconds later, Wallace has a flat tire and he pulls off in the grass. The caution is out.
1 minute remains, the green flag is back out and most the field is leaving the pit road at the same time. NASCAR has added some time to this session which will allow these cars to set a time. Hamlin and Kyle Busch backup on the pit lane and head for the garage.
Bowman is off track on his out lap.
William Byron jumps to the top of the board! Truex Jr jumps him and wins the session.
