Stoops Pursuit format: Tonight’s format is unique. Passing points are collected in the heat races. At the start of the main, the field is inverted by fastest heat race time. Every five laps (5 segments), a yellow flag is thrown and all cars with a net loss in position, or that were stopped on track after being involved in an accident, are eliminated.

Report

Green flag, they run side by side into turn one. Hayden Purdue, Spencer Bayston, Buddy Kofoid, Thomas Mezeraull, Logan Seavey, Ryan Timms, Corey Day, Spencer Bayston, Chris Windom, Chase Elliott all tangle behind them and the caution is out.

Per the rules, all those cars are now out of this race. Basically, most of the inside lane stacked up in turn one.

Green, Coons Jr leads into turn one. Bodine crosses under him off turn four. They trade slider after slide at the front. Bodine finally holds him off.

Elimination

Lap 5, the first elimination caution is out. Jerry Coons Jr and Chase Randall are out.

Green, Bodine leads into turn one. Kyle Cummins slides him in turn three to take over the lead.

Lap 8, Justin Grant gets into the back of Cole Bodine in turn one. Bodine goes around the caution is out.

Lap 9, Conor Daly is stalled and the caution is out.

Green, Cummins leads.

Elimination

Lap 10, the second elimination caution is out.

Green, Cummins leads Brsicoe by a car length into turn one. Briscoe looks inside into turn three but can’t complete the pass.

Lap 13, Daison Pursley gets turned and the caution is out.

Green, Cummins leads Briscoe.

Elimination

Lap 15, another elimination caution.

Green, Cummins leads Briscoe into turn one. Justin Grant takes 2nd away via the inside lane.

Lap 19, Grant clips the inside tire and pops a wheelie but stays in the gas and holds 2nd.

Lap 20, the final elimination caution is out. Briscoe is eliminated.

5 lap shootout

Green, Cummins leads Grant. Grant jumps the cushion in turn four and brushes the wall. Larson to 2nd!

3 to go, Cummins leads Larson by 3 car lengths.

White flag, Cummins spins on his own! Larson to the lead! Teh caution is out and Cummins is eliminated.

Green, Larson leads Thorson.
