Green flag, Heim and Gibbs run even into turn one. Gibbs and Heim run fender to fender, doors rubbing through turn one. Gibbs rolls the middle and forces Heim to run high in the dirty line. Heim takes the lead off turn two.

Behind them, Drew Dollar and Thad Moffitt make contact. Dollar chases it up the hill and shoves Moffitt into the wall. Heavy contact but no caution as both cars head for the pit lane.

Gibbs side drafts Heim off turn two. He pulls him back and drives by on the inside.

DL Wilson is up in smoke and the caution is out for fluid on the track. Connor Mosack stalls under yellow.

Green, Gibbs is clear by two car lengths into turn one as Nick Sanchez takes over 2nd.

Lap 23, Drew Dollar gets turned in the left rear by Thad Moffitt. Dollar backs it into the fence and Tim Richmond is collected. Heavy damage for both of those cars.

Green, Gibbs leads as Heim and Sanchez run side by side for 2nd. Sanchez takes 2nd with clean air on the bottom lane into turn three.

Lap 35, Gibbs leads Sanchez by 1 second.

Race break #1

Lap 36, the first race break caution is out.

Green, Gibbs leads as Snachez gets loose behind him. Sam Mayer pulls even off turn two. They remain side by side in turn three.

Back in turn one, Sanchez drives it deep in turn one and finally clears Mayer off turn two.

Lap 44, Zachary Tinkle is up in smoke and he heads to the pit lane.

Lap 50, Gibbs leads Sanchez by 2.5 seconds. He’s driving away.

Lap 64, Mayer has a run on Sanchez off turn two. Mayer dives to the inside and completes the pass for 2nd into turn one. Sanchez fights back to reclaim 2nd.

Race break #2

Lap 70, the second and final race break caution is out. The field is frozen as they hit the pit lane.

Green, Gibbs gets the jump and Heim follows him through on the outside lane. Heim dives to the inside in turn one! Side by side for the lead, Gibbs pinches him down, Heim gets loose and they nearly make contact off turn two.

Heim dives it deep into turn three but Gibbs pinches his entry. He gets loose again, Gibbs holds the lead on the outside lane.

Lap 78, Gracie Trotter and Jason Kittzmiller tangle in turn four and the caution is out. Heavy damage for both of those cars.

Green, Gibbs leads and he puts Sanchez in dirty air into turn one. Gibbs keeps him in dirty air into turn three and Heim loses the nose. Mayer looks inside of Heim for 2nd but he can’t complete that pass.

Lap 87, Heim is back on the bumper of Gibbs. Gibbs throws a block once again and holds the lead.

Lap 90, Gibbs snakes down the back stretch in an attempt to break any draft.

5 to go, Gibbs has opened the gap to 0.5 seconds.

2 to go, Heim has closed back to within a car length of Gibbs as they race for the win. Nick Sanchez closes on both of them.

1 to go, Gibbs leads Heim by a car length into turn one. He holds that gap off turn two.

Gibbs holds him off to win at Michigan International Speedway!
