Green flag, Power leads into turn one as Newgarden works inside of Herta for 2nd. Herta holds that spot.

Lap 2, Herta has a run on Power back in turn one, he’s clear, Herta leads.

Lap 3, Ed Jones and Graham Rahal tangle into turn one. Jones forces him wide and they make contact. Both drivers tag the wall, caution.

Green, Herta leads the field into turn one. Dalton Kellet is around behind them and the caution is back out.

Green, Herta leads Power. Newgarden and Pagenaud fight for space behind them. Newgarden pinches and clips the front wing of Pagenaud. Debris flies and another caution is out.

Green, but the caution lights are still out. They drop the yellow once again.

Green, Herta leads Power into turn one.

Lap 56

Lap 56, Ed Carpentor spins over the curb in turn three. He backs it into the fence and the caution is out.

The field hits the pit lane. Newgarden wins the race to the pit exit and takes over the lead, Power 2nd as Herta falls to 3rd.

Green, Alex Palou, Rinus VeeKay and Scott Dixon tangle in turn one. All three make heavy contact with the wall. The caution is back out. VeeKay drove it deep and turned them both.

Green, Newgarden leads Power. Alexander Rossi forces it inside of Herta into turn one, Rossi takes over 3rd.

Lap 79, Rossi has a run on Power into turn one. He drives right by on the inside.

Lap 92, Grosjean is charging through the field. He’s passed three cars in 5 laps and he’s up to 9th. He entering high and crossing for a late apex to cut under cars off the corner and keep his nose in clean air.

Pit cycle

Lap 112, Ryan Hunter-Reay hits the pit lane to begin the green flag pit cycle. This is an early stop.

Lap 128, Grosjean brushes the wall on cold tires after a pit stop.

Lap 132, Rossi pits from 2nd. Two laps later, Newgarden to the pit lane. Newgarden holds the race lead.

Lap 138, Herta drives under Rossi to take over 2nd.

Lap 139, Herta has a run on Newgarden for the race lead. Newgarden throws a block into turn one but Herta forces his way to the inside and clears him. Herta to the lead.

Pit cycle

Lap 185, Herta pits from the race lead under green. They drop the jack and he’s broken the driveline exiting his pit box!

Lap 198, Newgarden pits from the race lead.

Lap 201, Alexander Rossi hits the wall in turn two. He got loose and chased it into the marbles before tagging the wall and ripping the right front off. The caution is out. Grosjean is trapped a lap down.

Green, Newgarden snakes down the front stretch and leads O’Ward into turn one.

25 to go, Newgarden leads O’Ward by 0.7 seconds.

10 to go, Newgarden maintains the gap.
