Stage 1 – Report

Laps: 30 (1-30 / 100)

AJ Allmendinger, Noah Gragson - Daytona International Speedway - NASCAR Xfinity Series

Green flag, Allmendinger is clear on the outside. He drops to the inside and holds the lead with Gragson on his bumper.

Lap 4, Gragson backs up to get a run. He acts as if he’s going to push Allmendinger but he instead cuts the bottom right before turn one. Gragson clears Allmendinger and takes the lead.

Lap 5, Allmendinger pulls the same move and retakes the lead. Gragson hangs onto his right rear, side by side for the lead. Allmendinger holds the lead.

Lap 9, Brandon Jones has trash on the grill and water overflowing from the hood. He heads for the pit lane under green.

Lap 14, Gragson works under Allmendinger with a push from Allgaier. Gragson to the lead.

Lap 16, the competition caution is out.

Gragson and others hit the pit lane. Allmendinger stays out. The field is split on whether to pit.

Rain is falling on the speedway and the red flag is out.

Green flag, Allmendinger leads into turn one with Austin Cindric on his bumper.

5 to go in stage one, Allmendinger blocks both lanes as he cuts from the top to the bottom and back again. Justin Haley moves to 2nd.

Haley works inside of Allmendinger into turn one.

4 to go, Austin Cindric is turned into the outside wall at the flagstand following a bump draft from Myatt Snider. Sam Mayer and Michael Annett are collected.

Stage 2 – Report

Laps: 30 (31-60 / 100)

The leaders hit the pit lane. Allgaier wins the race to the pit exit with fuel only. Allgaier restarts 8th as 7 stay out. Brandon Brown and Riley Herbst set the front row.

Green flag on stage two, Herbst leads into turn one. Allgaier takes them three wide through the middle for 5th.

Lap 35, caution for debris.

Green, Herbst leads with Briscoe on his bumper.

Lap 45, the Chevrolets have lined up on the inside lane. Allmendinger and Allgaier push Brandon Brown to the race lead.

Brown moves them to the top lane. Allmendinger asks like he’s going with him then cuts to the bottom. Allgaier follows, Allmendinger to the lead.

Lap 48, the entire field forms single file around the top.

Lap 49, caution for debris.

Pit stops

The leaders hit the pit lane. Many stay out. Allgaier restarts outside the top 10. Brown and Herbst take over the front row.

Green, Brown is clear into turn one. He blocks a run from Herbst and holds the lead.

Lap 54, Noah Gragson pushes Sam Mayer to the front on the outside lane. Jeb Burton has a run on both of them with a push from Allmendinger. Gragson doesn’t block, Jeb Burton to the lead.

4 to go in stage two, Brown is out of fuel and he coasts to the pit lane.

2 to go, Burton weaves from top to bottom, blocking Gragson along the way.

1 to go, Gragson gets a little sideways with a bump draft from Allmendinger. Allmendinger takes 2nd away.

Jeb Burton blocks all the way to the finish line and wins stage two at Daytona!

Stage 3 – Report

Laps: 40 (61-100 / 100)

Burton, Allmendinger and others hit the pits for fuel only. Bell and Gragson line up on the front row.

Green flag on stage three, they run side by side into turn one and off turn two.

Lap 66, Allgaier pushes Gragson clear to the lead on the inside lane. Gragson blocks both lanes.

Lap 73, Colin Garrett is turned into the outside wall off turn four. The caution is out.

Green, Gragson and Bell run side by side into turn one. Gragson side drafts off turn two. Jeb Burton makes it three wide for 2nd and stalls them out. Bell holds the lead with Jeb Burton on his bumper.

18 to go

18 to go, Bacarella clears himself off turn two, not clear, turning himself across the nose of Jordan Anderson. Several cars are collected.

Green, Bell and Jeb Burton run side by side into turn one. Allgaier lines up behind Bell and pushes him clear.

6 to go, Bell leads Allgaier and Allmendinger as the entire field runs single file around the top lane.

All three Kaulig cars drop to the inside. Bell, Allmendinger and Allgaier all cut to the inside and throw a block. Allmendinger is shuffled out of line.

4 to go, Bell leads Allgaier by three car lengths off turn two. Allmendinger has a run and looks to the inside, clear. Bell falls to 4th.

2 to go, Allmendinger and Jeb Burton both try to block both lanes. Bell works inside of them anyway.

1 to go, Allmendinger leads by four car lengths into turn one. Bell and Burton run side by side for 2nd. Allmendinger blocks both lanes but they split him.

Haley leads a charge on the outside lane as Burton leads on the inside lane. They remain three wide off turn four.
