Stage 1 – Report

Laps: 115 (1-115 / 367)

Green flag, Hamlin spins the tires and Blaney leads the field into turn one.

Lap 15, Kurt Busch is on the bumper of Blaney in the battle for the lead. Busch looks to the outside in turn three as Blaney cuts to the bottom. Kurt Busch to the lead.

Lap 17, Alex Bowman blows a tire and smacks the wall in turn four. Byron picks up some damage as well, caution.

Green, Kurt Busch leads Blaney into turn one as they outside lane spins the tires.

Lap 26, the competition caution is out. Busch leads most of the field to the pit lane. Kevin Harvick wins the race to the pit exit. Erik Jones stays out.

Chase Elliott clips a tire on his way out of the pit box. He’s forced to return to the pit lane to repair left front damage.

Green, Hamlin and Harvick split Jones into turn one. Three wide for the lead, Harvick wins the battle as Kurt Busch takes 2nd.

Michael McDowell gets loose tags the wall off turn two! He spins across the track and slams the inside wall, caution.

Green, Harvick leads Kurt Busch into turn one.

Lap 48, James Davison spins, collects Cody Ware and the caution is out.

Harvick leads the field to the pit lane. Hamlin wins the race to the pit exit.

Green, Hamlin leads Harvick into turn one.

Lap 81, Hamlin pits from the race lead as green flag stops are underway.

Lap 85, Hamlin cycles back to the race lead. Larson has taken over 2nd, trailing Hamlin by 3 seconds.

Denny Hamlin cruises to the win in stage one at Darlington Raceway!

Stage 2 – Report

Laps: 115 (116-230 / 367)

Green flag on stage two, Hamlin and Larson run side by side into turn one. Larson holds even on the outside into turn two and Larson takes over the race lead.

Lap 125, Kyle Busch and Austin Dillon tangle in turn two. Busch slams the outside wall and the caution is out.

Green, Larson leads as Kurt Busch takes over 2nd on the outside lane.

Lap 158, Chase Elliott hits the brakes for a green flag pit stop but he’s missed the pit entry completely.

Lap 159, Larson and Kurt Busch pit from 1st and 2nd. Most of the leaders hit the pit lane a lap prior.

Lap 163

Lap 163, Truex Jr slows with a loose wheel. He catches a break as the caution is out for debris. Larson cycles back to the lead.

Green, Larson leads Kurt Busch into turn one.

Lap 190, Larson leads Hamlin by 2.3 seconds. Larson is glued to the outside wall, everywhere but turn two.

Lap 197, green flag pit stops are underway.

Lap 200, Larson cycles back to the race lead. Hamlin trails by 2 seconds.

Lap 201, William Byron is in the wall with a flat tire and the caution is out.

Green, Larson leads Hamlin into turn one.

Lap 212, Bell is on the bumper of Hamlin in the battle for 2nd. Hamlin runs wide into turn one and brushes the wall but he holds the spot.

3 to go in stage two, Hamlin gets loose off turn two and Bell has a run. Bell dives to the inside, clear.

At the front, Kyle Larson cruises to the win in stage two at Darlington!

Stage 3 – Report

Laps: 137 (231-367 / 367)

Pit Penalty: Ryan Blaney will go to the tail for an uncontrolled tire.

Green flag on stage three, Larson leads Hamlin into turn one. Bell and Chastain fight for space in 3rd behind them, Bell takes that spot.

Lap 250, Larson leads Hamlin by 1.6 seconds.

Lap 260, Harvick and Elliott run side by side for 5th. Harvick gets loose under him, chases it up the hill and doors Elliott. Both cars keep it rolling.

Bell hits the pit lane under green with a loose wheel.

98 to go, Larson jumps on the brakes, slides and hits the pit lane. He narrowly avoids the commitment box.

86 to go, Hamlin runs late and as he hits the pit lane, Larson cycles back to the race lead. Larson leads Chastain by 6.9 seconds.

69 to go, Larson hits the pit lane under green. Chastain cycles ahead of Larson as he pitted a lap earlier and the crew turned the fastest pit stop of the year.

51 to go, Hamlin remains on the race track as the leader. He’s cutting out a pit stop on stage three.

50 to go

50 to go, Blaney spins as he’s lost brakes. The caution is out.

Hamlin leads all the leaders to the pit lane. Martin Truex Jr wins the race to the pit exit.

Harvick returns to the pit lane to repair fender damage.

Pit Penalty: Martin Truex Jr will head to the tail as he was too fast entering the pit lane.

Green, Hamlin leads as Larson runs side by side with Chastain for 2nd. Larson throws it deep into turn one on the outside to hold 2nd. Buescher tags the wall off turn two.

41 to go, Wallace, Bell and Elliott run three wide in turn four. They bang doors and fight for space. Elliott has a flat tire into turn one and he slams the wall! The caution is out.

Green, Hamlin leads as Larson and Chastain run side by side. Larson clears him in turn two and pulls right to the bumper of Hamlin.

Larson looks to the outside of Hamlin into turn three! Hamlin runs up the banking to take the lane away.

30 to go, Hamlin leads Larson by three car lengths. Larson is exploring new lanes in search of clean air.

16 to go, Larson runs higher than anyone. Hamlin moves up to put him in dirty air. Chastain is closing on both of them.

14 to go, Larson gets loose and Chastain dives to the inside in turn one. They remain side by side for 2nd. Larson rubs the wall in turn four and still holds 2nd.

12 to go, Larson is running inches from the wall. He brushes the wall slightly and Hamlin opens the gap.

8 to go, Larson closes to within five car lengths.

2 to go, Hamlin holds the gap at five car lengths.

1 to go, Larson drives it deep into turn three, no brakes and slams the wall. He gets to the bumper of Hamlin but can’t take the spot.
