Late Model Nationals
Race Report

Green flag, McCreadie leads into turn one. He’s clear by three car lengths off turn two from Erb.

Lap 9, McCreadie has caught the tail of the field. He leads Erb by five car lengths.

Lap 11, McCreadie moves off the bottom for the first time to work lap traffic. Erb stays on the bottom and he drives by McCreadie as they race through lap traffic.

Lap 13, Jonathan Davenport has light smoke out of the back of his machine but he’s still on the gas.

Lap 22, Davenport slows and the caution is out. Davenport climbs from his car due to overheating issues.

Erb leads them into turn one. Marlar and McCreadie run side by side for 2nd, Marlar takes the spot on the cushion off turn two.

Lap 29, Tad Pospisil and Spencer Hughes tangle off turn two, caution.

Green, Erb leads into turn one. Marlar misses the bottom and slides up the banking and McCreadie pulls even for 2nd off turn two. McCreadie to 2nd.

Lap 40, Tyler Erb slows from the lead and the caution is out! The crew will change the rear gear under the yellow as this is also the fueling stop.

Fuel stop

Teams hit the pit lane and one crew member comes out to add fuel.

Green, McCreadie leads Marlar off turn two.

Lap 41, Marlar knocks the cushion in turn three. He powers to the right rear of McCreadie and clears him off turn four.

Lap 50, Tyler Erb is flying back to the front! He’s back to 14th after restarting at the tail.

Lap 54, McCreadie pulls back to the bumper of Marlar. They race through lap traffic.

Lap 60, Marlar opens the gap to four car lengths.

Lap 65, Tyler Erb is up to 9th. Weiss and Earl Pearson Jr run side by side for 3rd. Pearson works inside and clears him off turn two.

25 to go

Lap 75, Ricky Thornton Jr slows and the caution is out.

Green, Marlar leads McCreadie into turn one.

23 to go, Tyler Erb works to the outside of Hudson O’Neal for 5th off turn four.

20 to go, Weiss and Pearson Jr run side by side for 3rd. Erb is slowing closing on both of them but losing momentum after driving through the field.

15 to go, McCreadie closes to the bumper of Marlar in the battle for the win. McCreadie dives to the inside into turn three but Marlar slams the door shut.

11 to go, Marlar bobbles through the ruts on the cushion into turn three. McCreadie drives it deep to the bottom and clears him to take the lead off turn four.

Marlar fights back on the cushion. He slams the cushion, pulls even and clear. Marlar back to the lead!

8 to go, Marlar leads McCreadie by five car lengths.

5 to go, McCreadie pulls to within a car length. Marlar slides from the bottom to the top in turn four. He slams the cushion, rolls the ruts and opens the gap off turn four.

2 to go, Marlar by four car lengths over McCreadie.

1 to go, McCreadie jumps to the top for the first time.
