Indoor dirt race results from night three (Wednesday) of the Chili Bowl Nationals

Tonight, it’s another preliminary night in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A new field of cars will roll to the track for the first time. The 1/4-mile dirt track rests inside the Tulsa Expo Center. It’s the biggest dirt midget race of the year.

Daily Chili Bowl Nationals Schedule

Just ahead of the main event, Parker Price-Miller pulls to the pit area. The crew is hard at work on the left front as he was set to roll from 9th. They get him pushed off to re-join the field but he’ll start at the back.

Jason McDougal and Colby Copeland line up on the front row. 30 laps of dirt track racing are up next…

Wednesday Night
Feature – Report

Green flag, McDougal leads on the inside into turn one. Copeland drops to the inside lane behind him.

Lap 2, Copeland moves back to the top. McDougal is driving away in either lane.

Lap 7, Kevin Thomas Jr is all over Copeland in the battle for 2nd.

Lap 8, Jake Neal flips and the caution is out.

Green, McDougal leads into turn one. Thomas Jr looks inside of Copeland in the battle for 2nd.

Thomas Jr moves off the bottom, Rico Abreu takes over 3rd.

Lap 10, Abreu slides Copeland for 2nd. Copeland crosses under to retake the spot. Abreu slides him once more, Abreu takes over 2nd.

Lap 13, Parker Price-Miller is around and the caution is out.

Green, McDougal leads on the bottom. Abreu knocks the cushion.

Abreu has a run into turn three. He pulls the trigger, drives it deep to the inside and slides McDougal for the lead.

Lap 16, Brad Sweet jumps the cushion and drops three spots and falls to 10th.

10 to go

10 to go, Abreu leads by 1.5 seconds. Chase Randall takes over 2nd.

5 to go, Tanner Berryhill is parked against the outside wall, caution.

Green, Abreu leads Randall into turn one.

Back into turn one, Randall slides Abreu for the lead! He clears him but knocks the cushion and bicycles. Randall falls to 6th! Kevin Thomas Jr takes over 2nd.

4 to go, spins and the caution is out.

Green, Abreu leads Thomas Jr. Blake Hahn gets into the back of Thomas Jr on the inside lane but they both continue.

Taylor Reimer is upside down, caution.

Green, Abreu leads on the cushion. Thomas Jr rolls the inside lane.

2 to go, Abreu opens the gap.

1 to go, Kevin Thomas Jr is closing the gap. Abreu drops to the bottom to throw a block.
