Feature – Report

Green flag, Golobic leads into turn one. Crews drops to 5th on the outside. Frankie Guerrini and two others tangle behind them, caution. No laps complete.

Green, Golobic leads on the inside lane. Tanner Thorson follows him through to take 2nd. Brent Crews drops to the inside to hold 3rd.

Lap 2, most of the field has moved to the bottom lane early.

Lap 3, Thorson takes it to the cushion. He has a run off the corner!

Lap 4, Tanner Thorson slides Golobic for the lead, clear.

Lap 8, Emerson Axsom spins into turn one. Joe B Miller and two more are collected, the caution is out.

Green, Thorson leads Golobic and Crews into turn one. All three head for the cushion.

Lap 9, CJ Leary works the bottom. He clears Crews to take 3rd away. He’s not done as he takes 2nd away from Golobic.

Lap 10, spins, caution.

Green, Thorosn leads Leary as they both roll the bottom lane.

Lap 14, Bell heads for the cushion. He drives right by Golobic for 3rd.

Lap 18, Bell knocks the cushion and he’s coming to the front. He drives by CJ Leary. Bell to 2nd.

10 to go

10 to go, Thornson leads on the inside lane but Bell is knocking the cushion and closing fast.

8 to go, Guerrini spins and the caution is out.

Brent Crews has a flat left rear under caution. He was running 4th, now he rolls to the work area.

Green, Thorson knocks the cushion into turn one. Bell heads for the bottom. Thorson leads by three off turn two.

8 to go, Justin Crews is parked on the cushion, caution.

Green, Thorson leads on the top. Bell tries to slid him into turn one but he can’t clear him.

5 to go, three cars flip in tandem and the caution is out. Andrew Deal, Mitchell Davis and Damion Gardner are all parked on their roof.

Green, Thorson leads. Bell wheelstands and misses turn one, Leary has a look but Bell holds him off.

4 to go, Bell slides Thorson into turn one! He clears him, Thorson crosses under him to retake the spot.

Bell slides Thorson once more. Thorson is all over him.

2 to go, Thorson bobbles on the cushion in turn four.

Christppher Bell wins Thursday night in the Chili Bowl Nationals. That’s his 7th prelim main event win in a row.
